The reason why there are so many killing scenes using knives rather than guns in Korean movies is because guns are illegal in Korea and are difficult to smuggle, so they are not easy to obtain. So for all crimes, they use sharp and hard sashimi knives that can kill a person in one hit. It's actually like that too. Since most Korean men are required to serve in the military, they can use firearms and military firearms, but they are not allowed to touch firearms in general society.

the main dude Ma Dong Seok is in a 2017 fantasy movie called 'Along With The Gods' based on a korean webtoon(manhwa/manga), although mainly appearing in the sequel of that movie - but i highly highly recommend you guys that movie and its sequel, idk why ive never seen anyone react to that movie on here but it's literally one of the highest-grossing korean films of all time, as well as its sequel - the special effects is just one of the best in korean fantasy works ive ever seen
