This is how they ended the show. Throughout the show they would talk about having a baby but never actually did. So during the finale they decided to settle on Doug and Carrie having a baby to end the show.
This woman is super narcisist. The fact that she demands him to forgive her because she did so in the past is a clear sign of gas lighting and manipulative abuse. I guess my personal experiences really have thought me well to identify the patterns right away
I agree that BOTH characters are Narcissists... But that’s what made the show so funny. Both characters were always trying to get out of doing the right thing, in order to do the selfish thing... Which is why these two people seemed like they were meant for eachother, lol! Most of the situational comedy in the show was based off of the tension that was created when one, or both of them, wanted to do something for themselves... But instead were obligated to friends and family. The show was funny and relateable, because although Doug and Carrie are a bit “extreme” in their selfishness and scheming... Everyone can relate to the feeling of being obligated to others, when you really just want to go off and do your own thing. The series actually addresses this in the episode where Doug and Carrie get separate beds, and go on separate vacations, etc. They’re happy, but miss their relationship even though it causes them both to compromise. That’s my favorite episode because it shows that even the best relationships require just a little compromise and sacrifice, in order to work. 💖 I’d honestly be pretty sad if the series ended this way, unfortunately, because they did seem like a very strong couple. It was based off of “The Honeymooners,” and I’d be equally as sad if Ralph and Alice Cramden decided to call it quits.

He worked as little as he could get away with and resented anything she did to move ahead. He was content driving a delivery truck for the rest of his life.
You never know. Having to deal with Arthur made the situation even more negative. Looks aren’t everything. By the time she hits her 50’s, she could lose her good looks and will still be mean.
