Deborah Rowland speaks to Beth Goodyear about the newly launched 'Deborah Rowland Scholarship'

As part of our 'FM Expert' series, Beth Goodyear, Director at FMHS Consulting Ltd spoke to Deborah Rowland, Director of Public Sector Affairs at Sodexo.
Deborah has been working in FM for over 30 years and has always had a passion for learning. With a diagnosis of advanced cancer, Deborah wants to leave a legacy to support others who don't have the same development opportunities she had throughout her career in FM.
This conversation was recorded as the 'Deborah Rowland Scholarship' in Workplace and Facilities Management (WFM) was launched. It is the first scholarship of it's kind in the WFM sector.
The scholarship will be run through the IWFM Charitable Foundation which is dedicated to advancing the workplace and facilities management profession by providing opportunities for education and professional growth. It supports initiatives that foster competence, confidence, and leadership in WFM.
Governed by a board of trustees, the Foundation ensures that individuals from diverse backgrounds can access high-quality WFM education and mentorship, thereby contributing to a dynamic and inclusive professional community.
