I was addicted to meth for years. I recently have kicked the addiction. I came to a point where meth tasted terrible, I hated the body pain from it, and couldn't live with the guilt of using, I didn't like the people I was having sex with on meth. I just couldn't go any deeper with this drug. I just stopped after trying so many times, I just stopped.
However now I have to deal with the after affects of using meth. The shame, loss of employment, loss of family trust, loss of self esteem, so much was lost.
Moving forward I have a job, I'm regaining my self esteem, I'm regaining my family trust, I'm gaining weight, I'm regaining some sense of normalcy.
Even though, I have moved forward from my addiction to meth, and gained some of my old self, I still have much more to work on.
I even stop drinking alcohol because it doesn't taste as good as it use to.
I have plans now for my future something I have given up on meth.
I have future plans at 59 yrs and free from meth.
I'm happy for you, truly! Never lose hope, keep going! You deserve pure happiness & you are worthy of self love! You are amazing, ty for sharing your story ❤

My father just recently got addicted to meth, he had been a drug addict sense I was a baby but he had just recently quit. Of course off and on all my life but also just recently started again. He started after his mother, my grandmother died in October. Recently we reached out for help for him, and he is taking drug tests every week and is doing better but the side effects i’ve seen have been crazy. A complete different person, and he displayed everything you have mentioned. It’s scary, especially living with someone doing this specific drug. It’s scary almost, the side effects its almost there alter ego.

My mom has definitely relapsed on meth but is trying to convince me she hasn't (even though I never asked if she did.) Her meth addiction destroyed my childhood, now I'm pregnant with my first baby and can't believe she would do this again. I don't want her in my baby's life because she isn't safe when she's tweaking. But it is breaking my heart. She's only been welcomed back into my life for one year, after I stopped speaking to her for years. Now all that effort to reconnect is a waste, and my baby won't get a grandma.
Sad story:(( keep strong.
My ex of 14 years cheated on me and left me for a known meth addict, who now has her on it. I hope him and that poison ruins her life for what shes done to me!
