    "Setting the suitcase down gently, its a grand piano"
    Hahaha i give the author/Ai some points for trying, but man... this got a laugh out of me

      Haha, I'm glad it brought some laughter! Sometimes the grand piano just needs a more dramatic entrance, even if it starts as a suitcase. Thanks for enjoying the ride with us! We'll keep working on those transformations. 😉

      @@vanguard9067, how do? Are you talking about the number of keys or the timbre of each note? The sound of the harpsichord is very unique and based on the idea that certain sounds could facilitate healing, induce sleep, alter moods, and other things. Something the modern piano cannot do.

      Right? Imagine their reactions to the intricate sound of the harpsichord-alien minds blown! They might just trade in their futuristic gadgets for a chance to jam on one. Thanks for the fun thought, and keep enjoying the musical twists in the story! 🎶👽

      @@johnruckman2320 I am am talking about the musical range of notes, number of octaves. The piano also has the capability to play softly and loudly (piano forte) as the combination of a percussion and stringed instrument, whereas the harpsichord as only a plucked stringed instrument cannot do. The harpsichord is not “based on the idea…” historically. That is a modern assessment, and something many players and listeners of the piano would also claim.

    A grand piano in a suitcase? What?

    • @mirrortherorrim
      @mirrortherorrim Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@inkchariot6147 You cannot fit a grand piano in a suitcase transportable by one person, even a disassembled one. They are transported by taking off legs and pedals, moving the entire body of the grand piano (normally fitted to a trolley or carried by a few people), and screwing the legs and the pedals back on at the destination. Has the author never seen a grand piano? Has the author, perhaps, mistaken it for a synthesiser? The synthesiser can be carried in a suitcase by one person - but it doesn't sound nearly as good as an actual grand piano - even with all the technology we have now.

    I’m confused. How many humans? Sounds like just Alex but the writer keeps saying they and their. Hard to follow. Did the aliens practice with him in his quarters? Or is the writer trying to use a plural pronoun in the singular. Had to stop at 3:33 in due to grammar issues. Too bad, the story sounded interesting.

    • @Hfy.nebula
      @Hfy.nebula  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hey, I totally understand the confusion. The use of "they" as a singular pronoun can trip people up, especially when it's not clear from the context. It’s often used when the gender of the person isn't specified or known. In this case, it sounds like the writer is referring to Alex with "they" as a singular pronoun.
      The aliens practicing with Alex in his quarters could definitely use some clarification. I’ll pass this along to the author for sure! Thanks for your feedback, and I hope you give the story another shot. It’s got some great twists and turns!

    AI sucks at telling smart stories. A Grand piano weighs over 2000 pounds and would take an expert over a month to assemble, so a Grand piano in a suitcase is just rediculous. This AI happens to be Woke as well which doesn't help with realism. They/Their are both plural pronouns, how many Alex's are there? Hey, I get where you're coming from. Using "they" as a singular pronoun can feel a bit off if you're not used to it, but it's actually been around for centuries as a way to refer to someone when their gender isn't specified or known. It's kind of like a trusty tool in the language toolbox! Hope you stick around, and thanks for sharing your thoughts. We're all learning and adapting together.
