For those of you that aren't aware, our original narrator has moved on due to his busy real life schedule. However, we have 3 expert narrators which we will rotate through to keep things fresh! What do you think of Guard's narration today?
i was wondering abaut that, thank you for clarification. (i feel like ther is a lack of emocion)
Living Narrators are much better than the AI that doesnt understand how to pronounce AI for example and has trouble with the word lead. is it the metal, or are they taking us somewhere? Thanks for the video.
Going to take a couple of weeks to get used to but it is definitely better than an ai read story
I like this narrator, seems to be relaxing into it
With all due respect; if this is the case, I will assume your narrators pre-read the scripts. If so, it would behoove their success by pronouncing and reading correctly. A little emphasis on modulation would help too. This narrator has a nice voice, he just needs to learn how to work it.
Sooooo… long story short: the aliens found out we use duct tape and prayers to get shit done the way we want it to, and usually we figure out the science behind it later.
You made me choke on my soda, I got the silliest image in my head from that. 😆
Gah soda burns. 😅
Have a like 😅
As the god created the universe he asked the human
-"Who would win? The laws gowerning the universe or you?"
The human replied
-"If they were to use thier domain expansion "Event horizon" it might cause me some trouble"
-"But would you lose?"
-"Nah I'd win"
If God asks me that question, my answer would be a question. "Uh, doesn't being created in your image
necessitate that we would win?"
We have a stubbornness that keeps even "death" at bay. Do you think we would not win against the laws of the universe eventually with that same stubbornness?
As the law governing the universe open his domain he asked the humans "are you reckless because you're human? Or are you humans because you're the reckless"
The humans responded by opening his domain expansion "innovative technologies" they said "throughout the void and the universe, we ourselves are the indomitable one"
@@_AlanXD "And he saw that it was good."
This is the first time I have looked at one of these stories to listen to, and it started out with a real person reading.
There are so many AI voices out here that it's kind of hard to tell when it's a real person or an AI.
I had a friend of mine listen to a few paragraphs and then tell me whether he thought it was a real person or an AI voice. He couldn't tell. I like that you started out on screen.
The ai voices generally stumble with emotion, they won't use accents and things for characters.
They also can have quite odd intonations at times.
Really good ones can be passable for a minute or two but get painful after that.
Not-as-funny-as-they-think Wordplay... That is indeed the most defining characteristic of Humankind.
To think all this time we humans thought the aliens were saying "Puny Humans", when what they actually said was "Punny Humans". ;)
Why does this narrator make me want to just sit down with him and talk about all my problems while he pats my back and tells me it is going to be okay?
While sharing a whiskey perhaps? Lol
It's gonna be okay bubba.
A Spartan overcomes problems as they arise.
I can just imagine humanity tposing to establish dominance
And 'palpable' made not one single appearance! Bravo!
Or the 'fingers flying over the controls' overuse.
Very interesting story! I'd have loved to see an artist's interpretation of what the Almoc looked like instead of bunches of humans.
Good story! I look forward to more that have good characterization and motivations written in like this one.
For what its worth; the narration here is an order of magnitude better than on that "Aliens thought they were invisible..." one from the other day.
Very enjoyable story, nice one!
This was s very good story and the narration was awesome!! Well done!! 👍
Can you pleeeaaaseeeee make a playlist for all stories with Krills and his Human observations ? plzzzzz
A new upload only 20 minutes ago! Thank you starbound for such an awesome upload as always!
Glad you enjoy it!
I loved this story. I am a sucker for Sci-Fi that has teleportation/FTL travel at its heart.
I endured more than one viewing of the movie, "Supernova" just because I thought the "Dimensional Drive" they used was cool.
"Event Horizon" was another favorite, of course!
A spherical vessel capable of near instantaneous travel with little to no effects on the surrounding space-time fabric upon arrival?
Why does this remind me of a ship of this very design used by the Cult of Skaro to hide themselves from the doom that was near at hand
Great narrative voice, loved the enunciation as he read
Nicely narrated.
Thank you kindly!
Is he taking like ten litres of bottles from a nearby vending machine
Would be cool to get the HDMGF series on here.
I learned FORTRAN in 1981. I didn't find it any harder than BASIC. Pascal on the other hand was more of a stretch.
I love the live narration and the story was pretty good. My only problem is, if David was unable to leave anything from home AND unable to take anything from where he visited back home with him, how did he leave the device for Vecon to summon him?
Also, really David? You had to make a 'your Mama' joke during what is essentially a first contact situation? Really? 🤦
The universe didn't right the laws of physics, we did. you can't expect the universe to play along simply because we are idiots.
I liked that, and it feeds my suspicions of how this existence isn’t quite as tic-tok-tic that science insists it is :D
science is founded on observations. it's fairly clockwork. that doesn't mean you can't change out a cog when you notice the gearshaft is spinning at a different rate than you originally thought to make it all work again.
in order to break the laws of physics, you have to explain how the entirety of physics isn't broken in the process.
@@Sihgilanu yep, we all accept ghosts and premonitions. When science accepts them and understands we will be going places :o)
@@teamidris uhh no, we don't all accept ghosts and premonitions
@@zyeborm And we shall remain stuck on earth until we do, figure out what is going on and use that knowledge to our advantage :o)
Great narration, more please..... Lots more
More to come!
Are you kidding? He's terrible. He doesn't even understand half the words he's reading
Hi guys. I am interested in offering my vocal skills. i have enjoyed the real voices and I think I could bring something to the channel. Is there a way I could contact you guys with a sample of my voice?
Sure, where can i check out your stuff?
you should be the narrator
Aliens: WHAT IMPOSSIBLE HOW THE WHAT!!
humans: oh crap i found a bug in reality devs need to fix this💀💀
Edit:we meme about anything
Listen this sounds like a human thing to do
Does the white-haired guy on the right look like Morgan Freeman, or is it just me?
Can I be a narrator?
not this guy
not really a fan of these ai stories... far too many inconsistencies to be enjoyable.
Please stop reading like a drunk who just now saw the signs.
someone doesn't understand accents or characteristic reading
Do one on aliens reacting to the 4th firework events
