2004( two tests)home seires one was washed out.
Came back from Injury in 2006 ( after 8 months out)
2008 away series ,he struggled against both Murli and Mendis.
2009 home series ,Murli was thrashed in India.

I have seen Sachin bashing Muralidharan so many times.
Sachin completely dominated murali before 2000.. You can see all those close in dismissals were since 2000.. Sachin before 2000 was brutal against spinners.. He always wanted to play loft over long on and off also slog sweep.. Anything marginally shot he would pull or cut away.. After his back injury he played from the crease so he suffered

It was a bit weird. Sachin was always frustrated getting out to Murali and it wasn’t like Murali set him up or produced a gem of a delivery each time to get Sachin it’s just that Sachin was often found in two mind in a no man’s land with Murali how to approach him weather to defend or take him on. If murali bowled as aggressively as Warnie then Sachin would have approached him aggressively tans that would have simplified things for him. Don’t forget the shorter the Batsman the harder to negotiate length variations from a spinner and then throw a really heavy bat at that which you can’t move around like Lara and Azhar could move theirs.

That's great but no one forced him to use a heavy bat. I think we should acknowledge Murali was a great off-spinner and had very good battles with Sachin. Quite different from Sachin vs. Warne, but with a different kind of intensity.

Yeah couldn't see a special delivery. But one thing is for sure unlike warne murali was always very accurate and much more mysterious and quicker. We don't know how much Tendulkar was frustrated by murali to get out to such non special deliveries. Both are love ❤️

Many people have a wrong belief that those batsman who can play genuine fast bowling are the best batsmen. NO. To play fastbowling you just need to have bravery and eyesight . But to play swing and spin you need art, technique, footwork of highest order. That is why many great players of fast bowling like allan lamb, robin smith, mohinder amarnath ,srikkanth etc struggled against spin and swing ultimately they ended their careers with just about good( not great) batting records.
Those days in the 90s, I used to live near a showroom from where they would display the match on TV.

During the Indian matches, invariably there used to be huge audience around these TV showroom watching Tendulkar batting extremely seriously.
