- Renowned composer Hans Zimmer and Tomorrowland combine forces for the creation of a classical hymn that will premiere during the 10th anniversary edition of Tomorrowland. The 10-minute-long composition takes listeners on a magical journey that embodies the mythical qualities, magical atmosphere and international character of Tomorrowland.
Hans Zimmer set to work with his symphony orchestra at the famous AIR Studios in London. It was here, in this legendary chapel, that the soundtracks for films such as Inception, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Da Vinci Code and The Dark Knight were created.
"Tomorrowland is a known quantity to me", says Hans Zimmer, "and after ten years I think they deserve something special for their anniversary. It should be culturally diverse and should somehow represent the whole world. The hymn is about bringing different cultures together. All the things that make us different are actually the things we should be celebrating."
This international aspect is very important because each year, people from all over the world - 214 countries to be precise - come together for this 'once in a lifetime' festival experience. Tomorrowland is the most international gathering in the world. All of them speak the same language, the language of music and Tomorrowland.
The 10th anniversary of Tomorrowland is being celebrated with a double edition: held on both 18-20 July and 25-27 July.
The festival that started in 2005 as a one-day event already had its first edition on foreign soil in 2013: TomorrowWorld in Chattahoochee Hills (Atlanta, Georgia). 140,000 visitors found their way to this magical site in the United States. The originally Belgian festival will once again be living The American Dream this year when the festival is held there for the second time on the last weekend of September 2014.

I don't see why people find it ''dumb'' to have a non-EDM anthem for an EDM-festival... I mean, Hans Zimmer's style fits perfectly with the atmosphere and the idea Tomorrowland is about. Please people, get outta your comfort zones and enjoy this masterpiece!
i dont think that its about the genre that is played at the festival, i think its more of the theme that the festival is going for. this track is definitely going to be beautiful, and at the same time, express everything that tomorrowland is about.

a mi se me enchina la piel de escuchar sus bandas sonora, ahora saber esto, me sorprendió y me emociono bastante, me entere 10 días después, fue lo malo y si Hans Zimmer siempre ha hecho música mejor que ninguno otro, el si es un Dios de la musica.
I see a lot of people praising Hans Zimmer and saying that he is genius, and he surely is and I have loads of respect for him.. But I want to quote Thomas Bergersen, who has composed everything from trailer/moviescore to trance and EDM, as all music is genius as long as it fulfills someone: "Sometimes people get so caught up in the attributions of genres that they forget what music is about in the first place. They limit themselves to certain styles because their mind is not free. Music can and should be enjoyed across all genres, regardless of social value, political statement, mainstream success, stigma and so on, because great talent is to be found in every aspect of art, from the popular to the most obscure and unknown."

Its funny to look at some of the big names in electronic music who you think are great but compared to Hans Zimmer they don't even come close. The man really shows what genius is, not chessy music like Garrix and the likes. We need more artists like Hans who want to create unique powerful music

Yes, definitely agree. While I don't think EDM artists are cheesy and generic (some songs, yes, but not the artists), they are definitely not in the same level as Hans Zimmer, Thomas Bergerson, Ramin Djawadi etc. and we need many more like them as their music as absolutely godlike. BTW do you happen to know what genre it is that they make? I've heard it being called 'epic music'. I refer to it as symphonic/cinematic orchestral but does it have some sort of 'official' name?

Hans Zimmer is just simply amazing. One of the best composers of our time. If you don't know who he is, you're missing out. Going and checking out some of his music is definitely worth the time. Seeing Hans Zimmer become involved in the EDM community is amazing to me.

Its amazing how many people feel the same way as I do about this piece. I have a deep appreciation for Hans Zimmer and his beautiful work as well as love for EDM (especially trance). Seeing this masterpiece put together is truly breathtaking. Can't wait to hear the final outcome.

Music is not a matter of the engine that produces the sounds, or the way single Sounds are suppressed.
Music is a matter of feelings that are created and shared by the melodies, sounds and message of the song it self.
For my self i cant say i only like EDM, i also like Classic, Rock and even HipHop, if it is well done and the rythm and the message catches me.
Still EDM is my big love and i am glad to visite tomorrowland, right after the Defqon1 and the AirbeatOne Festival.

This song will open up so many venues. If anyone could work with a composer, and a legend like Hans, it's Armin Van Buuren. Both legends in their own light, but a fusion between the two would be out of this world. I do feel that the trance genre could take off in the direction that Hans is forming via this song. I have no interest in Tomorrowland whatsoever... But I'm a coaster enthusiast whose favourite coaster anywhere is the Ride to Happiness, which is a collaboration with the festival and includes this hymn. And also, Hans Zimmer is my favourite artist. Love it.

***** I mean't in terms of melody, as much as Skrillex and Noisia are amazing sound engineers their music is numbered. Like for instance Bangarang was huge and died pretty quick. But the likes of Mike Shinoda and Eric Prydz, their music is timeless.

Not blasting you, but if you think Hans Zimmer should be up there above those other producers (I think so too), then I think that spots 2 3 4 and 5 should be taken up by other composers similar to Hans Zimmer, like Steve Jablonsky, Thomas Bergerson, etc. Not saying the other producers you have on this list are bad, though (especially not Pryda or the Mau5), it's just that if you like Hans Zimmer better than them, there are probably plenty of other producers as well that you will like better than them, but you just haven't listened to :)
