I love crawler anodized stuff but not on bashers except for ares that don’t have much stress
You have to grind the back of the proline wheel to clear the aluminum hub . Simple job had to do the same on my build well worth it to run those tires
Metal parts = added weight = broken plastic parts.
Also weakest link idea. Your overall system is only as good as the weakest link...and with metal upgrades your plastic parts will be stressed even harder and ultimately give.
I feel if you want the color parts just paint the plastic to match the aluminum parts.
Or the ARRMA Typhon TLR 6s which is a combination of metal and plastic to become one of the best 1/10 scale electric RC cars on the market under a grand.
Random tech tip, that was a great addition. Now we'll never know if it'll be a random unboxing or tech related. Thanks again MSM!
Really nice set up
For the steering, the servo saver is the part that gives. I've got the full Hot Racing aluminum steering setup on my X-Maxx, and I haven't hurt anything.
Also, I put a set of the XRT Gravix tires on my X-Maxx, and they're PERFECT! I'd really recommend those over the stock tires.
A Bar stool & work comfortable, the body will TY. Works washing dishes, too .

plastic breaks, metal bends it depends on what you prefer and your driving style , i jump and flip my rc alot so a full metal conversation is not for me but i did add metal to crucial parts that tend to break so now they bend , and parts that bend can easily bend back in place with heat.
A good upgrade for the xmaxx is the caster blocks and bearing carries off the xrt fit the xmaxx . Just need bigger bearing on the inside. Of front and back .

Traxxas specifically says DONT use their 400oz servo in the Xmaxx
Pro Tip: line the inside of your tires with duct tape before mounting and glueing to wheels will solve the issue of ballooning tires.
