I think it's because people are soooo concerned with "meta decks" that they refuse to see so much hidden gold. I never thought I would see such lack of creativity from a card game community with thousands of cards. It's that same mindset that made them think Bard was going to be a weak champion. And they were wrong.

This was soo fun to watch i love old school decks, when i saw shadow isles darius you made me remember of that old tresh darius deck you made years ago and also the swain gangplank boomers deck, man i wish you could still play those 2 together again with kegs.
What is stopping you? I mean, old decks can Shays be adapted :P

This is one variant, i dont know if i should go more control or more agressive/burn type of deck
I was the same, the Darius/Thresh deck remains one of my all time favourites and I got excited when I thought he had rebuilt it! Sadly I believe the Thresh/Nasus list just outperforms it for what it’s trying to do, but I still have the Darius deck built that I play from time to time.

Actually no way. Been playing darius bard with a 2 of apprehend and every single time I play the card I have to wait for my opponents to read it for the first time in their lives. Can't believe there is a mogwai deck about it literally 3 days later

When I used to play paper magic this would happen all the time with aggro cards I used. I wound typically tech stuff for midrange and control match ups people never expected. A lot of bad players assume aggro is just winning by t5 or forfeit. I play a t7 bomb and they spend 5 minutes trying to figure out why they're about to lose after they "gained control" of the board

I think this deck is creative and unique in the way it plays. You start out standard noxus aggro but by tuen 5 or 6 you’ve transitioned into playing for midrange value, and you’ve got the reckoner harrowing combo at the top end. Nice stuff, mogwai.
What's fascinating is that this deck will not do as well on ladder as it did for Mogwai that's because he's good at piloting it but also the harrowing and apprehend caught people off-guard. Once people net-deck this list they will queue up against people who know exactly what the Gimmick is and would play around it if they can.
This board really fits the cannot-scream-mogwai, such a great chill vibe and great vid!

This patch really removed some keystone cards to keep these aggro decks in check. Hopefully it’s just the early patch things and not what the meta is going to be for the next couple weeks. It feels like less variety than what we had before.
What's funny is that I don't even classify this as an aggro deck, it's Midrange Overwhelm. And the best decks rn are either Midrange too (Bard +1), or Combo (Annie/TF, TF/Nami). I've barely seen Aggro

Isn't LeBlanc just straight up better than Draven in this deck? You get +2 attack and the threat of Mirror Image to copy your big overwhelm units, while Draven's axes don't do much as you don't have discard targets.

yes, but no.Draven generates a good value when he's summoned already, and if he dies, it doesn't matter that much.Meanwhile, Leblanc is very weird, she wasonly a 5-2 quick attack beatstick that dies to mystic shot and also needs to level up to generate some good value.

Nice deck that feels nice to play. I changed Draven with Riven for now. There seems to be a lot of removal right now that has very little trouble removing 2hp units and Rivens THICCness, alongside those fragments feel suitable as well in this deck.

Yep he could've, an axe on either Basilisk Rider or Ballista would've reduced the opponent hp to 10 which would lead to Darius finishing him off with the remaining 10.

Darius has always actually been good, and the 2 mana stun/ rally is pretty good albeit conditional.

Leblanc wouldn't be a better option than Draven? She can reduce the cost of whispering words and create copies of the minotaur that have an enter the battlefield effect and a last breath effect. More copies of this minotaur is insane alongside the shadow isles reviving card because you can stop a lot of blockers and have a bunch of big units attacking.

Thoughts on Kalista instead of Draven in this deck? I feel like her synergy with the Risen Reckoner can definitely justify her, especially after the buff, she's also just a good 3 drop, same with Riven if you don't want to leave the allegiance shell

Why Draven and not Le Bonk ? You don't have discard fodder in this deck, Le Bonk has higher dmg, can generate very useful spell and make drawing spell cheaper

I think that Darius is pretty underrated champion. He would be 2 much broken at that point. When he got pretty good deck like this one or the Gnar Darius hes pretty strong. And Decimate isnt bad aswell for these decks.

You had lethal at 17.47 if you gave spinning axe to either the basilisk rider or the other overwhelm unit. You would have dealt 3 overwhelm damage levelling up Darius turning him into 10 power with a perfect lethal

I think Darius being the dungeon master and completely clobbering all the other d&d skins is quite fitting.
If you follow the small story across the dnd skin card Nami rolled nat 20 on her bubble and Lee sin channeled his inner barbarian and hit his face

Darius comes a turn earlier and is much easier to level up
@@ben8929 sure he does come a turn earlier, but he’s definitely not easier to level… in this deck it’s equal if anything but sion has a much stronger effect and you don’t have to run pointless cards like apprehend to get the rally, also sion has 2 bodies
