A good chunk of my books are older so the scanner would not be something I would be interested in.
I actually write down every book in the family library and then it is stored in a binder.
I am glad you were able to scan all your books.
Love the idea of a written physical list!!! A lot of mine would not scan as well
@@Itslaurensbookshelf if you ever decide to do a physical inventory another thing I recommend is only write down the books you know want in your library. Any books you haul or receive keep them in a pile (unless they are special editions you wanted). Once you read those books and you love them then write them in the inventory. This makes it easier to keep track but also stop you from having to rewrite your inventory all the time. It also helps me know what I really want in the family library. I started doing this and found how easier it has become to create TBR stacks for each month, but also keeps my book buying to be balanced to how much I read. But, I know my method/recommendation might not work for everyone.
This is such a great method of organization; I dig it. Also, all of your shelves are so pretty!

I just did this myself a few days ago, took all my books off my shelves, scanned them and then I got to reorganise my shelves. I used the Liblib app too, though my total was nowhere near as impressive as yours lol 273 books and 52 Manga’s.
It’s so satisfying to scan them all in! 325 is still so many!!! Can’t believe I even have in the hundreds’

just got our scanner (finally) and did a test scan. took a bit to figure out how it wanted the CSV file. I didnt see how you just scanned and it went right into the site anywhere, tho! I just scanned into a notepad file on my phone, then copied it all into the CSV template and uploaded it. I suppose that was easy enuf, tho! need to figure out how to add pics for some books without cover pics

I would love to make my own little library with a scanner, although at this point with my amount of books it may not be worth it yet😂
I thought the same thing at first but honestly wish i would’ve done it sooner!! It’s easier to scan in new ones rather than all at the same time like I did 😂
