Some musicians play on recordings.... That's all they pretty much do. Its a job. They do it well.... processed ear food. Then, there are some bands that when heard live make you jump and smile. This is fresh organic!
Haha! Right!? I'm curious though, when I saw that I just assumed master musicians did a tempo change too subtle for my peasant ears or crappy pc speaker or both. But you think the drummer just looked at him until he said, "That's better yeah"? That would kinda be even more funny...
woh my god.. Charlie's base and melody fusion never ceases to amaze me.
Best jazz comes from Charlie Hunter. Music to dance and to listen. Mood!
Charlie, genial como siempre. Estupendos los solos de saxo y batería. Original formación con trombón y armónica. ¡Excelente actuación!
Personnel:
Charlie Hunter - 8-string guitar
Derrek Phillips- Drums
Gregoire Maret - Harmonica
John Ellis - Tenor Saxophone
Curtis Fowlkes - Trombone
Love the unique instrumentation. That Hunter boy is 100% ORIGINAL! ☺️
one of the most inimitable musicians

I was at this recording. It was some rope a dope thing in Philly. Horseman from galactic opened the door when I got there. Unreal players....
Jon Ellis Sax playing is so good - This is such a great DVD
Charlie: "Is that too fast?" No one changes tempo at all "that's better, yeah!" gotta love it lol
