I had exactly the same experience with the voluntary post! Was working as an AP for months, interviewed to become permanent (in the same role, same ward, etc.) and I was still their 2nd choice! So I carried on volunteering, supporting the person who beat me to the job. It's crazy, but she was excellent as the AP, and just had a couple more years experience than me. Sometimes, it comes down to luck and chance - keep trying!

If I remember correctly, I chose Forensic Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and Organisational Psychology modules, but this is completely optional and it does not matter, as long as your degree confers GBC for the BPS! Then it's all about the core modules that your degree offers
