    As a lifelong Patriots fan, it is Bill Belichick. Tom is an all time great QB and leader, but Bill has constructed a system and a culture that is second to none.
    The very nature of the Patriots system, which focuses on roles rather than stars, has allowed us to effectively manage our cap while enhancing the talents of individual players. We dont need an Antonio Brown because we have a system that makes guys like Edelman highly effective.
    Not to take away from the players, who execute that system flawlessly.

    • @MrDanielWP
      @MrDanielWP Před 5 lety +3

      Jacob Hughes - 1. Patricia ran the defense.
      2. The defense is terrible - one of the lowest talent-wise in the league.
      3. Why do you have to come back? If the defense could consistently get stops, you wouldn't be behind, certainly not by 28 points.
      4. The production of Tom Brady, relative to other QBs he is facing, is a great barometer of how effective he is vs how effective his defense is. If you factor in the relative quality of the offense the Pats' Defense facing, and the quality of defense Brady and the offense is facing, you'll be able to get a very clear picture of the disparity between Brady and his Defense. For example: Joe Flacco isn't that hard to stop. The Ravens Defense was really hard to score on. Stats showed that throughout the years. So, when Flacco was getting 300+ yards and 2+ TDs against the Pats', their defense did terrible - they gave up a lot of yards and points to a bad offense. When Brady could throw for 300+ yards and 2+ TDs against that defense (with Ray Lewis), he did outstanding - he did a lot against a great defense.

    • @isaacsangels7235
      @isaacsangels7235 Před 5 lety

      tigera6 it’s a team sport so obviously you judge players individually for the game, Brady played great. And if the defense had played even good. They would have won. They couldn’t stop anyone out there. Horrible defense. I still think that if the eagles don’t get that fumble. Brady would have scored and then the game gets interesting.

    It’s a shame all of those top 10 defenses of the early 2000’s patriots have been forgotten. And Kevin Faulk has been forgotten. And Lagarett Blount has been forgotten. Tom Brady never won a Super Bowl without being on a team with a good defense or with a solid enough running game to pick up tough yards. When Bill needed the weight of the world to be on Tom’s shoulders, the patriots went 18-1.

And Tom to work with most personal that comes and goes and to make clutch plays and big plays continuously when needed is on another level to most QB's. It is around the 50-50 some times it swings back and forth a little but most of the time it is equal.

Brady down to the 53rd guy on the roster is afraid to be late to a meeting. Even Chad Johnson aka Ochocinco mentioned how shocked he was to see Brady get chewed out in a meeting. Nobody is safe. That accountability puts everyone at attention. Assistant coaches as well. The credit in my opinion goes to Belichick he is the one that's kept his dynasty alive for 20 years. He is the one who made the unpopular decision to start Brady after Drew Bledsoe was healthy. He took a lot of heat for starting an unknown second-year quarterback out of Michigan instead of playing a guy the organization just paid 100 million dollars to. At the end of the day the credit goes to Belichick because he stood up against the general consensus and recognized what Tom Brady was

    What is Chip smoking during the commercial break? Who fumbled in the last Super Bowl? Brady. Who took over the Atlanta Super Bowl? James White. Who won the game for New England against Seattle? Malcolm Butler. It's not just Brady and Belichick. It's the whole team.

    Tom Brady was making teams great even before the NFL. Dude knows how to win no matter who is around him. Belichick and Brady are both the goat. But Brady, considering how much he was overlooked up until he took over starting job, is the most impressive of the two. That’s my opinion.

    Marino shows you what a great QB looks like without a great coach/team, Nick Sabin shows you what a great coach with no QB looks like, you need both to win a super bowl, you need a great organisation to create a dynasty. Players win games, QBs and Coaches win Super Bowls, GM’s / owners create daynasties

    This is absolutely stupid. They're both great in their own right. This entire "debate" is bred out of jealousy to be honest. We don't do this with any Coach/QB duo. I've never heard people debate Lombardi/Starr, Montana/Walsh, Shanahan/Young, Shanahan/Elway, Holmgren/Favre, Shula/Marino, Knoll/Bradshaw, Dungy/Manning, etc. Not once Have i ever heard people diminish those QBs legacy because of their coaches, but yet we do it with Brady???... People for some reason have massive jealousy/hate towards brady that they'll go overboard and try and tear down his legacy to the point that it's pathetic. and i am not even a patriots fan, just being objective here

    Don’t forget the financials. Brady is the 16th highest paid QB. He has given up money to help bring in better players. I know he’s 41 and isn’t going to get a big long contract but he’s worthy of a top 5 contract still with his production.

    Its 50/50. Bilichick is afforded a lot of luxury having someone he does not need to worry about at the most important position who also takes pay cuts for him to grab more talent. Brady also keeps himself healthy and out of trouble. They need each other.

  • @keithglenn9746

    Bill Belichick was 36-44 in 5 years as HC in Cleveland. He was 5-11 in the first year at N.E. and was 0-2 before Tom stepped in after Bryan Cox hit Drew Bredsoe in the chest and caused internal bleeding. So, that makes it 41-57 record as a HC before Tom took the reigns. This is hardly the record of an all-time great coach. As smart as BB is, he wasn't the guy until he got Tom. Tom resume as a winner speaks for itself. The last collegiate game Tom played he beat Bama in a Bowl game. Bill is good at understanding how to motivate Tom to keep winning but he's not that great on his own.

    Robert Kraft is the reason for the long-term success of the New England Patriots. And that is because he hired a coach. It doesn't matter who the coach is. Mr. Craft allow that coach to do his job without interference from the owner and that would be himself.
    To illustrate this point, Shannon Sharpe said, 'Belichick will get rid of a player if he doesn't perform. And it doesn't matter how much he's getting paid'. The coach could not pull that trigger unless he had explicit permission from the owner.
    Shannon Sharpe was a player that was in the game of the National Football League. He, more than likely, witnessed players who we're paid a lot of money and did not perform at the level that was expected. The coaches, more than likely, had to keep and work with those players because the owners made it clear that they had to keep that player, for whatever reason. This 'owner interference' is the main reason why a lot of organizations do not succeed in the NFL.

Mango I had 1 winning playoff season as an NFL head coach, 2006 with the Jets who finished 10-8, in his very first season.. in 2007 he came down to earth with a 4-12 season. Overall he's 33-47 with the Jets and Cleveland.

      RAP1D EQUAL1ZER First off the reason Brady had a chance to start was when Mo Lewis literally almost killed Drew. Second only superior bowl game bill ever cost Brady was last years. The first three were all because of that defense. Then the two loses to the Giants not bill defense fault. Seattle bill defense shut out the Seahawks in tue fourth quarter. Falcons bill defense didn't allow a point about in the end of the third quarter and all of the fourth.

      RAP1D EQUALIZER lol bruh The pats score 14 points in SB 42... and 17 in SB 46. The only Loss you can chalk up to the D is last years. They also held two of the best offences (2001 Rams, 2016 Falcons) in the history of the game to 17 and 21 points respectively. The only time the defence has let up more than 25 points was in SB 38 and 51. TB Great but damn, don't spew nonsense.
