    Agree that Romo wasn't a "born leader" but he developed into one.
    Remember when he had lost all his receivers to injury & went into OT against the 49ers with cracked ribs & a punctured lung? He went straight to Jessey Holley, told him to be ready & threw him the game-winning pass. Is that not leadership?

      I agree Romo has grown into a leader. But IMO someone born with that gift will always have the advantage over someone who wasn't. Dak has the same innate traits that Tom Brady has that took him to 4 SB's. He's showing year 1 what Romo likely didn't develop until he was the wrong side of 30. And it's only going to grow.

    Dallas needs to give Romo the Peyton treatment. Notice Denver went through this last year, Denver killed the media by saying Peyton hurt, remember Brock played most of their season. It was the last couple of games where Brock was playing horrible, especially last game of the regular season. They put Manning in the game to win for home field advantage. Until Dak plays horrible, put in Romo. Romo is an incredible Backup right now, Dallas just need stay patient

    • @Yeeeeaaaanoooo
      @Yeeeeaaaanoooo Před 7 lety +5

      Big difference between this team and practically every team Romo has had his 10 years at QB. Defense is actually carrying their weight, the O line isn't Swiss cheese the run game is led by an all star RB. Other than Murray in 2014 Romo has been saddled with mediocre RB play, below average o line play for years, and historically bad defenses for year. He was literally carrying the team to win for multiple seasons. People seem to forget how bad the entire team has been other than Romo and Witten for the last 6-8 years. Leads to him throwing more to keep the Cowboys in the game which lead to int's. We're seeing it with Andrew Luck the last season and a half the team around him is mediocre and he's having to force the ball more leading to his int's being up. Yet he seems to be given the benefit of the doubt when it's literally the same thing Romo dealt with for years and people just seem to stay in the mindset that he's garbage even though he had the Cowboys in contention every single season. Kind of unfair if you ask me to say he was the reason when the team around him was lacking. Dak is benefitting from an entire team that's finally good for the first time in 7-8 years Romo would be just as if not more successful with this same roster. We literally saw it in 2014 when he finished 2nd in MVP voting.

    People keep saying take dak out if he plays bad. What people don't understand is when you get benched for your play, that messes with your psyche just a little bit. It's better for dak to leave it to romo knowing he can play with the big boys learn all he can from romo, then use that knowledge and his even greater understanding of the game to become an even better qb.and use that for when he starts next year. I love everything tony has done for us, that's why I hope we can win it all this year so he can ride off into the sunset with a ring, but that's wishful thinking.

While Tommy was playing, our offensive line got right and the team started playing well around him. When that happens, sometimes there's some magic to a young kid being in there. The team steps up with the young kid in there. Once they do that, they keep playing that way.

      UNDISPUTED ON FS1 let Tony be the back up and give dak advise and help dak get better then in the end of the season trade him for a 1 round pick and improve on the defense we need a ware , Newman to improve the defense. or trade for a 2 good defense player that need a qb but that also has the players to keep Tony safe . It well be pointless trade Tony with a team like the browns he won't even last one pre season with that line he get killed. but dallas does have the chance to trade for either good rookie picks with low pay or trade for good players that know the NFL but well cost a bit more and last about 3 to 4 years depending on who they get . So dallas needs to take advantage

He looks great in pre season and the haters still won't acknowledge it. He wins a few games in the regular season, came back from behind and most haters still wouldn't give props. Ohhh but "yea I'll give props to Dak now if it means I get to bash Romo", Cowboys fans knew they had something good going with Dak, the Cowboys/Romo haters are now acknowledging his good play only bc they get to bash Romo in the process. So naw it wasn't Romo fans who thought that, it was the Cowboys haters.

    Tony Romo should get job back. Dak isn't going anywhere. I disagree with these guys. Romo's upside is greater. And if he doesn't play well, replace him with Dak. It's that simple. I think more credit should go to coaches for the position they put Dak. They balance offense well with run, keeps pressure off Dak. Tony could do the same, or even better. He should start when he comes back.

To change it now, you're risking losing that magic and confidence your team has in their field general. Once that confidence is gone it won't be as simple as just putting Dak back in to play.

    I gotta disagree sorta with Skip on the MVP race two years ago. Demarco Murray was the real MVP of 2014. Sure Rodgers was the best Qb that year and JJ Watt was the DPOY. However, Murray rushed for 1,800 yards and made Tony and Dez available. Once Murray left Dallas, Dez and Tony got injured again.

  • @jamesturnerjr1203
    @jamesturnerjr1203 Před 5 lety +2

    I heard all of that talk and they don't know nothing. This is why they shouldn't be a coach because no one brought up the fact that no rookie Qb has ever led their team to a Super bowl. All of this special stuff that they are talking about lead to a first round loss at home. If the Cowboys would have put Romo back in they would have won the Superbowl that year. No one talks about the easiest schedule in the league and have 6 sec to throw if you would have given Romo that type of time we would scored so much that Dak could have come in and got rep. Dink and dunk Dak only slowed the offense down and threw a lot of check downs against bad defenses . He only had success because no one had film on him but you saw what happened when when a harder schedule the next year he was just not ready and he still is not ready. They want you to believe that you should have your best players on the field. The reason Brady won then because they had a great defensive and was allowed to make mistakes and it doesn't cost you the game. Their coaching is the best in the league and they play in the easiest division in football.

      BloozeDaddy Peyton Manning's stats last season and he won the Super Bowl. Enough said about stats.
      Let's look at reality. Dallas was 2-0 with Romo last season at the start and he was 3-1 at the end of the season. Hmmm...similar to Dak who was 3-1 at one point. Romo didn't have this kid Zeke. He was winning with Jo Randle at the start and then McFadden towards the later part. No Dez. Beas wasn't the full on beast he is now. Brice Butler was developing. Just saying, Romo did that and before then was one play away from a Super Bowl in the season he went 12-4 with Murray and they lacked D even that season. Dak should start against Philly and then play Romo in Cleveland and go from there with

This Dak kid has "it", poised and doesn't let anything phase him. That's incredible and important to keep consistent, which Romo lacks. Romo isn't consistent and psychologically weak, he can't take pressure well. Dak is way better than Romo, he's already proven it. I don't care what the numbers say, Romo isn't a leader and the Cowboys will never win a championship with him as qb. Dak already has showed crazy potential and it's going to get better
