While I was living in Canada I had Spanish coffees all the time as they are very popular over there and I even learned how to make them just like that. Now that I am back in Portugal they only know Irish coffee.

Thank you. I've been Bartending in Salem Oregon for over a decade and I've been doing this drink the wrong way! So, I use 151 to rim the glass (exact same glass) and hold the sugar, I pour Kahlua, triple sec, dash of bailey's, dash of salted caramel whiskey, then coffee then 151 float. I light it while stationary and sprinkle the cinnamon while still on fire. Once caramelized, put out fire, add whipped cream and sprinkle. It's the heinze 57 Spanish Coffee. 😂

Yup, definitely a US created cocktail, I guess the name came from putting rum in coffee. Is that a Spanish thing to do? Or a typical American assumption? lol

Its been 3 years but the name according from someone from the actual bar is that they took a Carajillo specifically the Mexican version which uses Kahlua a Mexican coffee liqueur and they added the whole flair with fire and the sugar rim. The Spanish name came from the old practice that americans had of calling everything Mexican as “spanish” because they speak Spanish. Its not as common anymore.

Cocktail Cards yes sir! And always put the fire out for them. I once had a wedding party at the bar, made a few of these and spilt some alcohol on the bar so I cleaned it before lighting. Lit the shots and watched to make sure everything was okay with the glasses. One of the guys said hey man, the towel is on fire, so I looked over to the towel in my hand. It was slightly on fire lol 😂 I had no drinks threw is in the sink and put it out hahaha

No hubers did not invent it. It's been around for along time in California.
Yes put hot water to warm glass.
No lime in my coffee. You can use water on rim instead.
Turn down the lights for a better video on flames.
Oh YES you did the sparks on the Cinnamon!! That's so entertaining 🎉😅
Don't put the flame out with a plate just poor hot coffee & it will go out.
Keep that flame 🔥 alive as long as possible for a dramatic effect 😎
    Mmmmm.....yummy 😊😊
