- I know hockey is under-appreciated in America, and I was a hockey fan as a kid, watching the Mighty Ducks (Now called Ducks). I wasn't introduced to hockey at a young age until someone showed me the way they played. I know it's all brutal and all that, isn't that what all sports are?
But anyway, I figured I bring back a classic arcade game. By the way, since I haven't played this in a really long time, I am really awful at this, but I used to be good, played hard defense on the AIs, it was awesome.
Now this game was created by Midway, the company that created games such as NBA Jam, Mortal Kombat, NFL Blitz, WWF Wrestlemania arcade game, and so on.
This game is really classic, and I figured I used one of the teams that I loved to pound the puck with: The Winnipeg Jets.
Now being a fan is one thing, but playing the game and choosing another opposing team is another story because you look at the way the skills are set. Now there are probably better teams than my choice, but just using the Jets makes it better, and the fact that they returned to the NHL in like what, 15 years?
Anyway, so enjoy my gameplay using the Jets, playing in the Stanley Cup against the New Jersey Devils. In this game, I used Ed Boon, because, what the heck, he's the face of Midway. =]

The local laundromat had this arcade cabinet and my mom always tossed me a couple of quarters when I went with her so I could play. Haven’t thought about this game in decades, the wave of nostalgia I’m experiencing is powerful lol
for a while, this was my idea of paradise. hockey was my life and nba jam was my favourite game. to have an nba jam with the nhl, and the fact that this arcade game was only at one place in my city... it's all I needed to be happy as a 12 year old.
I hope I see Arcade1up release this cabinet in the near future

Always knew about mortal kombat, always knew about nba jam, te and hangtime...didn't know this existed and only ever saw it at the local skating rink in south fl no less lmao...had to get it when I found the ps1 home port haha the 90s man

After having beaten all 26 teams you eventually play all the programmers of the game
No there’s a code like NBA JAM, where you put in the month, day, and initials
@@andreinybakken9252 Ed Boon didn't program this game, he's the co-creater of Mortal Kombat which Midway also developed and there's a simple code you put in to play as him, you don't need to beat any teams
How do you take control of your cpu teammate on ps1? The manual says you can but i can’t figure it out. If you can’t this game practically useless.
