GUA SHA Face Lifting Massage for Marionette Lines and Cheeks

  • In this video I’m going to show you GUA SHA face lifting massage for the cheeks and marionette lines. It’s a great little routine to add to any strengthening exercises you’re already doing for marionette lines to lessen them. Plus 🌸Check out my NEW FREEBIE below🌸!
    Quite often, the reason we start seeing marionette lines is because we have tension in the Depressor muscles (muscles that bring the chin, mouth corners, and low lip down), plus there is tension in the front of the neck and also weakness in the cheek muscles.
    And if you haven’t yet started with the toning exercises to address this specific problem, then do check out my previous video on marionette lines where I show you what to do to lessen the folds from the mouth corner down to the chin (quick secret - we have to tone the cheeks to lessen the marionette lines!).

    Thanks so much for this beautiful routine. I did your face toning exercises before doing this one and my face feels strong and tight. I just discovered your channel and feel hopeful for my older face. ❤ I'm in a challenging season of purging, packing and moving over Christmas, and found these few minutes not only good for my face but for my outlook.     I love your these slightly shorter Gua Sha tutorials for specific areas of the face. Would you consider doing a short Gua Sha tutorial for frown lines and forehead?

    Hi Polina. I just subscribed to your channel and so glad that I did. I love your Gua Sha videos and just did two of them this morning. I love to use face oils and was wondering if you would tell me what face oil you are using in this video? I love the way it looks on your skin. Also I have the Sacheu Stainless Steel Gua Sha. Is this one okay or do you recommend rose quartz or jade over stainless steel?

      Thanks for your comments🌸and happy to have provided some inspiration on how to use this wonderful face tool 💆‍♀🌷 with marionette lines, GUA SHA alone won't help, although it will be beneficial, you need to strengthen the cheek muscles first and foremost, to hold the cheeks up to lessen the folds from the mouth corners, I have a video on that 😀 hope this helps!

    Polina, Just subscribed and which oils would you recommend and which tool works best?

      Hi Carmen, thanks for subscribing 🌸 you can use any facial oil that you like, there’s so much out there! Rosehip, avocado, moringa, jojoba these are all good too. Tool-wise, I would go for a natural gua sha stone, rose quarts or jade are quite popular for their calming benefits 💆‍♀

    Hi Polina, I only found you recently and have subscribed but I wonder if it would help older skin as I am noticing a drooping in jowls and cheeks. What do you think? 🥰

      Hi Maggie, thanks for subscribing 😀 Yes absolutely, face yoga is perfect for older skin and can give you nice results if you stick with the routine and stay consistent. Cheeks and jowls respond well to facial toning so please don’t despair ! You can check the cheeks section on my channel and choose a video you resonate with to start toning the muscles 🌸

    I've noticed you've used that zig zag motion for the mouth line and forehead line and seems to be really effective. Can that also work for the turkey neck sagging skin area?

      Thanks for your question Bonnie 🌸the zig zag motion works best on folds but not sure it will work on the loose skin under the chin very well, we don't want to stretch the skin even more!

    Doesn't using it on upper cheeks that way flatten your cheeks instead of lifting the cheeks?

      No it doesn't flatten them at all! It just avoids damaging the capillaries because if you're using the ridge of GUA SHA, it's too harsh for the facial skin.

      @@ElementalFaceYogawithPolina The last time I used gha sha (this way) my face looked 10 years older the next day. Like a deflated baloon. I tried it again one month later with the same results. Shouldn't we scoop the muscle to avoid stretching the skin and then increasint gravity wrinkles or saggier skin?
