  • The 2015 Audi A4 is probably one of the best (if not THE best) sports sedans I've ever driven. There are some things that I hate about it though, and here are 5 of them.

    When you take that long complaining about cup holders, and start off by complaining about wipers that have probably just been worn out with use, it tells me that you really don't have anything to complain about

      Exactly. I actually liked this car quite a bit - the only negatives were little nitpicky things.

    at 3:53 you commented that the car only has two cup holders however the car actually has 6. One in the driver in passenger door, two in the center console, and two in the rear folding console. The rear cupholders are really good

    • @EJR20
      @EJR20 Před 2 lety +3

      8*. 2 in the front center console, all four door bends have cubbies = four cup/bottle holder, rear folding center armrest has 2.

    The cup holders are designed like this to hold on to your drink whatever the size. If you have a small perrier can, it'll hold it. If you have a small or medium coffee, it'll hold it. If you have a full size beverage, it'll hold it. It won't shake while driving. You move on your seat and need boulsters? So does your drink if you don't want to spill it. The noise is coming from you bottle, not the plastic holders. I have a hard time figuring out why you don't get the idea behind it.

    I own a 2013 and the car is basically identical to this 2015. There's a button under the wiper lever you can press to see different things on the gauge cluster that he complains about. The wipers are probably just worn out. You can even switch the car gear into S mode for a peppier throttle which really does make a difference. They've even fixed the oil issues from the B8 models. Also if you adjust your seat options you can increase the lumbar support so it doesn't feel like you're just sitting flat. I don't get this video lmao

    What engine?
    I have a 2014 A4 2.0T Quattro Premium plus with MMI, B&O system, 19" wheels... and I'm very happy. Power is adequate, particularity in Sports mode, want more power? get and S4 or RS5! Love the AWD! I agree technologically is behind, but for me is perfect balance between classic / modern. Keep in mind this platform has been out there since '08-'09, that's why there's the new A4 2017... too linear for my liking.

  • @jons4717
    @jons4717 Před 2 lety +7

    Not too many major things. I have driven the 2015 A4 for 7 years now. I agree, the seats are not the best. Cup holders are annoying -both different sizes! As for the acceleration, he didn't specify if he used Sport Mode. That give the car more power. Overall, I like the car though the tech is outdated. I have the base model, Premium. I have to admit that mechanically it is the best car I have ever owned - no issue. All I have had is wear and tear items - brake pads, rotors, tires.

    I've owned this car (Progressiv Plus) for 3 years now and I loved it...still do...kinda. I agree, the power isn't really there even though it's a cool 220HP. You just don't get that feeling of getting pushed back into your seat when opening the throttle like I did in my 2016 328i. I have plans on trading in the car for a 2019 A5 Technik very soon. Overall nice car, but too basic and not enough powaaaaaaa!!!!

    You clearly did not take a minute to learn this car sir.
    3:00 you can adjust the height, and rearward and backward position of the armrest.
    3:46 it has 6 other places you can place bottles or cups: each door bend has bottle/cup holders, the front door bends have big enough bottle holders to fit a 1.5L bottle and there still would be a lot of space left in the rest of the door bend. The rear center folding armrest has two more cup holders. Did I mention ALL doors have bottle/cup holders, including the back door bends, most cars even the latest ones don’t have cubby space in the rear door bends, like the 2020 Camry has space for ONE bottle on each rear door bend, the Corolla has no rear door bend cubby space AT ALL, I wonder what you would say to that haha. One thing I can agree with you on is the fact that with huge bottles in the center console cup holders, you’ll find them to be in the way, but that's when the large bottle/cup holders on the door bends come into play.
    3:43 how would it be cheap or low quality just cause it holds your bottle snug? its whole purpose is to keep it from spilling. I have this same model and the the quality of the plastic is NOT low quality, especially for the cup holders. In most cars, 5 years in and you start to see wear on the trim not my Audi.

    I loved my 2011 A4, I absolutely HATE my 2017 A4. They destroyed the look of the dash by putting that ugly pod in the middle of the dash. Putting a large drink in the drivers cup holder blocks the buttons at the lower end of the dash. What I hate most of all is what I call the auto stall feature. This is a feature that turns the engine off when you come to a set of lights. Once you take your foot off the brake the engine turns back on. You can not permanently turn off this feature. Not buying another Audi again.

    I own a 2016 A4 2.0T Quattro, It's been over a year of ownership and would have to agree the power is not the best but with a simple APR tune it would wake up the car. If you wanted performance look into the S models of Audi.

      Francisco F you talk about no power? The 2.0tfsi drops 208 bhp, how is that not the best? They're really fast, the 2.0l tfsi has the same engine as the s3

    • @gamermod423
      @gamermod423 Před 3 lety +1

      Completely agree. The power is no where, it’s very disappointing that the A4 S-Line goes from 208hp to 333hp in the S4. They could have easily made stock hp for the A4 much higher. But now I have to pay $$$ to unlock the ‘hidden’ power in my 15’ A4.

    Can't have sport seats in the base model because fatties and old ladies buy these cars. Go to an s4 and it's a whole different car. For a 4 banger i think it moves pretty well especially when you consider the fact that it's driving all 4 wheels and still gets 32mpg on the highway.

    • @driveandreview
      @driveandreview  Před 7 lety

      I really want to try an S4 - this base car was really solid, but I can only imagine how much better it is with a sportier spec. Even the S3's look good.

    • @edwardwalls
      @edwardwalls Před 7 lety +1

      I guess you should tried changing some setup on the car you drove, by example, you had the Sport gearbox option installed (D/S), the gearbox in Sport mode, has a better response you just had to pull the gearstick down beyond the Drive (it changes the D to S# with the gear engaged) also you had the Drive select option that also adjust the steering wheel and suspension, and by the way you had also another cup holder in the door trim. (all the four doors have them). Also in the corner lights stick you had the options for the On board computer, like the fuel efficiency program and some other stuff, but the main idea is that you keep focus on the road instead of the gadgets.
      But I have to agree about the seats.
      Of course the S4 is a complete different story, you should try it

  • @ArcolaBridge
    @ArcolaBridge Před 5 měsíci

    BMW sucks compared to audi. Yes, the 2 L makes you want the bigger motor, the standard trim makes you want the s-line trim. Audi wipers have always sucked, that's why you use a windshield coating so you don't need wipers at all except for snow. Germans are very straightforward people and don't appreciate eating and drinking in the car as it is an experience to be appreciated and stay focused. Many people like that the cup holder hangs on especially if you were to hit a big bump or go around a turn your cup is held on to. Look at Audis from the'80s '90s and 2000s their cup holders were really just a joke on the customer. A joke that said don't eat and drink in the car! We are not going to give you a cup holder anyway just a joke, meanwhile American cars had big gulp holders. I think you are right that Audi dominates almost every segment they enter into. It's tough to be Audi especially with the real Quattro 4x4 system all mechanical torsion differential system. Unfortunately that is no more for fuel efficiency.
