Suga: once said, "We need more haters, all our old haters are all army now". He's right alot of haters , turn into Army. Because of BTS positive messages through their music. Negativity never wins, only positivity . And BTS has proven that over and over.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I always think fans being hateful means that are jealous and insecure and this also proves that those haters have less confidence in their favourite artist's abilities and music also being disrespectful to their artists. This is a bitter truth in every country.

First of all, I’m sorry for the long comment but I took the time to write this bc I think it’s SO important to be aware of this as an army bc it will be in BTS history.
I think you should know what is going on nowadays bc sadly BTS is receiving probably their biggest hate train in their whole career.
Everything started with the scandal between Hybe and Min Heejin (the CEO of ‘Adore label’ and the artistic director of the group NewJeans). I’m not going into details bc that’s a long story but basically Hybe announced that they have opened an internal investigation into her, claiming that she allegedly tried to secretly plot a coup to seize Ador in order to become independent by leaving Hybe.
And just before her sudden 2 hours press conference accusing Hybe of a “slave contract“ and Bang PD for being one of the main personas of copying her formula to create other new group and ignoring New jeans, Hybe accuses her of having contacted external financiers to carry out her project and announce she had conversations with a shaman taking important decisions in business with the shaman advices and her asking the shaman to send BTS to the military service bc that will benefit her.
Armys were ignoring or watching the drama but when BTS was mentioned, everything went crazy. Armys were mostly saying she’s insane or making jokes about the shaman lol.
Then, other hybe fandoms joined but to hate each other groups and other fandoms that are not related to hybe started hating everyone and mostly BTS. And then NewJeans fandom hating BTS as well.
Basically, Army started defending BTS left and right, but that is not the main problem here bc after all these are the stupid typical fan wars that they receive daily.
The thing that made everything serious is when the korean citizens seems to be in Min Heejin’s side and then new Korean Twitter accounts with 0 followers started having hit tweets talking bad about BTS and making rumors. Then, a lot of big kpop news accounts joined and articles and media starting doing that as well, accusing BTS of fake rumors, like saying they are part of a cult and bringing back plagiarism accusations.
At this point the hate was massive (and ridiculous to be honest) to the point the cult mentioned denied that rumor and BigHir made TWO announcements about taking string legal actions agains all those people hating and spreading rumors and doing an investigation bc apparently all of this was planned by a viral company.
BTS found itself mixed up in this enormous media charade. Because Hybe was founded on the foundations of Big Hit Entertainment and the vast majority of its income comes from revenue contributed by BTS. Now big articles and important media in South Korea have been publishing all kinds of rumors about them, including accusations that they bought awards, cheated on their records, plagiarized music... Accusations which have not found an echo in the international press.
Anyways, things were already out of control there, but what happened a couple of days ago was the last straw. The announcement that “The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will order an investigation into the alleged chart-rigging practice, known as sajaegi in Korea, of boy band BTS's agency HYBE back in 2017.”
CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?? BTS are the ones that had an organic growth. They have brought billions of money to that country and recognition and this is how they pay them? This piss me off. It’s so sad how they are constantly targeted in sht when they have done nothing wrong.
By the way, sajaegi is when the company is buying A LOT albums or songs so artists can win in Korean shows awards. BTS has been receiving that accusation literally from their first show win with ‘I need u’ just bc they were beating big companies but these allegations were denied bc bight was in bankruptcy back then and didn’t have power. And now they are bringing back this but in 2017??
I’m sorry but BTS has always had a loyal and dedicated fandom. Their concerts back then are a PROOF of that. Hopefully everything goes okay. They should do that same investigation to other kpop groups to see who are the fraudulenta bc their numbers never match when it comes to streams, followers, sells and concerts…
Anyways, this whole situation is so sad bc BTS are right now serving in the military for their country while Korea has turned their backs to them… THEY DON’T DESERVE BTS.
Right now armys are so united and angry. We are leaving positive messages to the members and we are charting their songs! Right me ‘NOT TODAY’ is #1 worldwide in the iTunes Charts bc “today we fight.” 🔥
BTS are being ignored at home. k-army is saying that citizens are taking this really bad bc it’s like if an athlete in the Olympics got golden medal but with drugs/duping. Which is fcking ridiculous bc they are the biggest band in the world right now and they were the biggest in sk since years ago . That sajaegi accusation don’t erase all the achievements they have get over the years before and after 2017.
I hope the people around the members during their military service believes in BTS and comfort them if they feel bad.
Once again, sorry for the long LONG comment
Finally, I would like to quote an article:
“The situation is even more tense for BTS as none of the seven members are there to defend themselves. All of them are in fact enlisted in the army for their military service. It is impossible for them, during this period, to express themselves on the subject. Would the country which celebrated the group's 10th anniversary barely a year ago with festivals and grand fireworks be ready to turn its back on those who made it shine so much? Just a few days ago, Jung Kook was named in the list of the 100 most influential Asian personalities in the world by GoldHouse. A real pride.
But the damage is already done. And a sign that things are not ready to calm down, the group's Korean fans decided on Friday to send funeral flowers and messages in front of Hybe's building (which is no longer in the odor of sanctity with of some of BTS's admirers), demanding better protection of their idols. Enough to once again feed the local media which we know are particularly harsh with their celebrities. Meanwhile, the legal battle between Hybe and Min Hee-jin takes a back seat.”

It's not true about the south korean government investating BTS that was a unfounded rumour and it was traced back to a new twitter account that was pretending to be ARMY. Then it was picked up by a single South Korean Reporter and spread from there. It's was debunked on monday by 2 separate Professional South Korean Reporters.
      Any way hope that helps

But now that you say that it makes sense, I mean it’s not surprising how rumors spread in media without doing a proper research
      Thanks for the clarification!

@@BansheePurple yes it got spread as South Korean new channels didn't bother to fact check doh! talk about sloppy journalism.
Also there's more to the story as there have been 2 petitions logged by member of the public on the South Korean Government website but all that's happened is the normal response eg 'we acknowledge your petition has been logged on the website site.'
      That's all that's happened.
No where has the South Korean Government said they are going to investigate BTS for either the accusation of chart manipulation or take the Cultural Merit away from BTS.
Media is not fact checking before spurting out these things on South Korean News.

BTS is the 7´th most streamed artist in the world on all platforms with 76 bilion streams i think it was, and that is insane. only taylor drake and weekend and also ariana grade is over them. and a few others i forgot. you dont get this many streams by playing dirty if that was the case everyone would do it. so it angers me when someone question BTS

Hating against Asians has always been a "thing". Just as many hate some race or another for whatever reasons. To be straight honest about it, there are a few Asian countries that are NOT on my "like" list. But, being that I married a Filipina, and I live in the P.I., I'm certainly not an Asian hater. What it comes down for me as, is some people simple hate others, no matter who they may be. Either out of stupidity, jealousy, race bias, or whatever. We'll never be rid of these people entirely, but what you do is ignore them. What you do NOT do is give them publicity!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, this video shows only a few. BTS' been getting hate and discriminating treatments unbelievably many times from different parts of the world and even today they are still being targeted for false accusations and people are spreading negative rumors while they are serving duties. This is why Armys are protective of BTS.

A lot of hating in this context comes from competition. This happens a lot in KPop due to the culture of KPop television shows that pit bands against each other on who wins for that week which has now been going on for 25+ years. This is my lone observation of this toxic atmosphere, I did not get this idea from someone else. This type of seemingly-innocent friendly competition then gets interpreted by KPop fans as becoming too serious about who wins or loses. These TV shows is just one aspect of the hate & jealousy but it is possibly a big portion of it. BTS finally won their first TV competition award in 2015. There are also a lot of KPop labels & KPop groups in a geographically-small nation such as South Korea, all vying for your attention & wallets, so that is why the competition gets heated because if a band does not grab your attention & money, that band dies off sooner than later. And when that groups then disbands, what are their fans going to do? Did those fans just waste all that time, effort & money being part of that fandom? That is one reason why fans compete with other fandoms so that their bands survive as long as possible. Thus this is/was why KPop had become famous, or infamous, for being a place of toxicity, as it is because of that dense population of KPop groups & agencies. BTS & Blackpink were able to get over that competition a little better than other KPop bands by garnering a ton more of international fans than just in the domestic space. Let us be clear that KPop is a For-Profit business, these bands & labels cannot live long without YOUR money. That applies practically to BTS, Blackpink & to all other music industries in the world, or just any kind of industry in the world, it does not solely apply to music. There is competition between artists in the music industries in the US, but it does not get as toxic as it has been in KPop. The other types of hating that also applies in this context come from racism, xenophobia, nationalism & patriotism, which we see more globally instead of within Korea. In fact, racism, xenophobia, nationalism & patriotism are also different types of competition, i.e. `my race` or `my country` is better than yours, along with the `My band that I am a fan of is better than the band that you are a fan of`. There is also a lot of `sheeple` herd behavior going on within fandoms. Lastly, I think another reason for the hate is that because people are uninformed, misinformed & ignorant. Not ignorant in a bad way, they just are not aware.
      Hope that made sense.
