Just one additional important comment for shifting into 4L (applicable for the JK Wrangler). It was already mentioned, that one should not pull that hard on the lever trying to bring it into 4L. Always let the car roll a bit while doing it. This is especially important because there is a weak plastic part involved in the force transmission line of that lever towards the transfer case and if you pull too hard, it can break. On top of it, that tiny plastic part is almost not accessible and you have to disassemble parts of the exhaust system to get access to it. In Germany, we have some 4x4 companies, who are offering Jeep Wrangler specific garage training sessions over the weekend, which I can highly recommend. You will not only learn a lot about your Wrangler and the parts which often break (especially if your are offroading), but also what you can repair on the trail and what to take with you in order to do it.
Never felt so dumb in my life. It was driving me crazy not being able to turn the rear locker off without going into high or turning it on and off. I didn’t know the switch went up. Thank you.
If you push the bottom again when both front and rear are locked, it disengages the front locker. In other words, push bottom once to engage rear locker, then the bottom toggles the front locker on and off.
@@BUCKEYEMANIA. I took mine out did two river crossings and some back road stuff.. I am still trying to get used to having a vehicle this capable.. I grew up swamping old POS cars.. so having something that is meant for off roading is a lot different. How big you going with your build?
Matt Salon Yes it’s awesome how capable these are! I came from a YJ to this 2015 JKU Rubicon. I think I am going to stop at 35s. I say that now but you never know. Haha. Heading to Moab in October so I can see how she really does. What are you doing to yours?
@@BUCKEYEMANIA. I am staying rather basic.. 33s no lift.. I just need it to overland and then a little more.. not to sound weird but I hunt treasure.. from metal detecting to chasing tales of old mines.. and in the process I end up walking and hiking a lot.. so I figured save a few miles and get some off roading in. Life is about the journey not the destination.
MucKFizzoU15 It gives you better traction for off-roading. All 4 wheels lock.= they turn at the same time with the same amount of power torque on each wheel. Good for getting out of places at low speeds. But for road driving you want them off for better road manners. Meaning open differential for the road in which it will give you better control in slippery conditions. Applying more power torque to the wheel that needs it= unequal

Thanks for the simple explanation! I purchased a 2015 Rubicon and now I have to learn how to use all the features.
Simple and with video for dummies like me well explained 👌
Thanks! Just picked up a new Rubicon and the saleslady had no idea how they worked.
Nice.. I got mine last Monday.
Matt Salon I hit some trails last weekend and it did amazing! Just need to lift it and some bigger tires!

THANKS IT HELP ME ALOT
Nice video! Why your EEP is not manual transmission?
Very helpful.
Thx. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇺🇸
are the Rubicons limited slip diffs?
Mine flashes but don’t engage
kinda dumb they won't lock in 4 high. one of them should. Great helpful video
No you cannot shifted into high at any time, you have to be going less than 80 km an hour
Can I put lockers on a sport and if so how do I activate them
Yes, electronic lockers like the Rubicon has, would cost with labor over two thousand dollars. You can get mechanical lockers for a lot less money.
What is the point of lockers, like does it give your more power?

Hell ya it does.. it's like going super Saiyan.... Be careful... With great power comes great responsibility....
If you push the rear locker twice i activates the front as well ?
Yes, its just one loker button that activates both
That Guy Mike thank you for the information.
Strange switch. It’s a rocker switch so why not up for front and down for rear...
I agree
Thanks man
