About the Speaker:
Probal DasGupta is a veteran of the Indian army. After taking premature retirement from the army, he obtained a Masters degree in International Affairs from Columbia University, New York. He is an acclaimed author, historian and strategic affairs commentator.
The biggest camouflaged fact is, both Pakistan and Indian military were created by bifurcating British India military, which was created by the British colonizers to protect them from the natives and not the other way around.
This is the reason why both Pakistan and Indian army excel in counter insurgencies against their own people but have a terrible record when it comes to taking on external aggressors.
After 1947, Pakistan army absorbed members of INA one of whom led the assault on Kashmir in 1947/48. India on the other hand after 1947, refused to absorb anyone from INA and those who had mutineed against the British in the Indian military. But those who were fighting for the British against the INA and other Indian freedom fighters went on to form the independent India's military.
This led to supporters of the British continuing to enjoy their lavish life after 1947. And those who joined INA and the various mutinies after 1945, ended up on the streets of so called independent India as beggars. This shameful fact on how so called independent India betrayed it's real freedom fighters is completely missing in our history books and in the popular narrative.
You need to shine a light on this shameful fact.
