im having a problem with my 2016 Kia Optima FE, but I’m being told it’s coming from my fuse box since there is also a whining noise. There’s no signs of warning lights. Usually I would just tap the fuse box and my car would just crank. Now it’s not turning over, it’s alerting me about tpms & also a “turn on fuse box” alert popped up on the screen. Also, my key will not let me unlock or lock my car doors. Im out of ideas and really depending on this car right now. Can someone help ?
Well mines won't start but before it happend car died and when i tried to start smoke came out smelling like burnt rubber. I tried to jump start it but only lights come on and car wont start. If i disconnect cables lights go off.(forgot to mention i have a loud system in it, only thing i can i can think of is starter)
I have the same problem I was driving it shut off and smoke started coming from the starter haven’t been able to figure out what the problem is if you have the fix let me know please !

For some strange reason on Kia’s a bad starter causes vehicle to shut off while driving for a strange reason. Not like other cars.
Sounds like neutral safety switch.. possibly
