    I thought that Adams Ashiomole just made a very logical and objective submission that was devoid of party sentiments. Issues of national interest should be should be subjected to constructive criticisms without fear or favour. Kudos Adams.

    I have always submitted that Oshiomhole is very ripe to be president. He messed up that chance with the politics he played in Edo the last time. He soiled his name. However, he is still our best bet as president because he is so versed in all aspects of the economy and governance.

    We agree with HE Oshiomhole. The CBN is not about Marketing but PUBLIC FINANCE which the new team appears to lack.But the President JAGABAN knows what he wants to achieve by nominating this team and the Senate is urged to clear them for Mr President. If they are willing to consult with the professionals at the CBN we believe they will succeed.

      Nigeria is not going get better again, Oshiomole is a good talker, in fact, he talked better in his days as the NLC leader.
      The only change that we can admit has happened to nigeria is from bad to worse.
      And we are not there yet! By 2027 at the rate things are getting out of hands, we will be buying 1$ for N5k.
      Only the politicians will be able to afford a tin milk or sardines

    The anology of appointing a doctor with a high record of bad surgical outcomes as surgeon general was spot on. To expect people who managed banks to liquidation to manage the national bank in crisis is asking too much from them. This contribution by Senator Adams Oshiomole was enough to cause a rethink of the nominations.

    Finally, someone spoke my mind. I've never been a fan of Ex commercial bankers manning the affairs of CBN, whose primary role is Economic stability via monetary policies. A bunch of commercial bankers are merely marketers and profit makers and not policy makers. At best, they can serve as deputy governors in less technical roles like Operations, Corporate services etc. More worse is that a number of these commercial bankers are members of the Monetary policy committee that were recently confirmed by the Nigerian Senate. I'd rather have a professor of Economics (Academia) than an ex-commercial banker heading the CBN or making up the MPC team.. It's high time we appoint competent professionals with a proven track record of driving economic policies at international levels such as the World bank, IMF. IFC, Shalom!!!

    I'm not a fan of Oshiomhole, but I respect and appreciate his objectivism on this issue. We need more of this coming from the elites. We all want the best for Nigeria(ns) and that should be priority, not the ego of the president.
