Do you have to go in and speak to the delivery consultant for anything or you can find your car yourself and drive off without doing so?
@@Nestle245 I maybe talked to them for like 2 minutes when they showed me how to take ownership from the app that was it.
The insurance step, did you submit your current insurance without the new tesla or did you submit your insurance with the vin number of the new tesla that you added to your insurance policy?
I just added my existing auto policy number even know I had not officially added the Tesla to it yet. Kind of how they do it a lot a regular dealership.

What documents did you have to submit for your loan application?
I only had to enter my social security #, drivers license and then enter what my income numbers are. I am sure once your social is ran if they need more documents they will request them.
How long did it take for them to accept you for the financial decision? Im on hour 44 and I had put down a good amount of money but I’m getting a bit worried 😅

were the taxes and fees already added or did you have to pay that separate?? or just the 5k down.
For my state (Iowa). I had to pay taxes and registration after picking up the car it was not included in the financing or 5000 down payment.

5 years later they still haven't perfected the build quality, this is very disappointing. I want to buy model 3 but this making me rethink
When I accepted my loan terms after being accepted I told the loan that I would put down $15000. Payment would have been $425 per month. Changed the monthly payment to $420 just for fun and it changed the down payment to $15425. I accepted these terms. After viewing the loan info after accepting the app is telling me my total due at signing is over $21000. Do you know why this is? Shouldnt the loan application include sales taxes and fees? Is it different in other states?
That's messed up. What do you do? Did you figure out something? Did you get the car? I'm trying to get a Y model, but I'm afraid to have some issues with the numbers like you.
I have to ask since I am in the process of ordering a new Model 3. When choosing to lease or finance, does it give you the option to do either? To state more clearly, do I only submit one application to see both options and then decide which I prefer?
Sorry I can’t say on the leasing as I opted to finance and did not see a way to change between the two once you submit your order. From what I see on the order page if you choose lease that is how your purchase would be made.

@ProXcaliber this might be a little late, but I read that after the 36 monts of the lease, you need to return the car to Tesla. You can't keep it and keep paying it. Let me know if you know something about this. Thanks
@@vc2368 Yes, you are correct. If you lease with Tesla, the lease end term is when you have to return the car. Tesla does not allow you to lease with intention to buyout the car at the end of the lease. This is why I ended up going with the finance option in the end. The whole process is very simple and straightforward and that is honestly the biggest decision you will be required to make, whether you would like to lease or finance. They do have really good lease deals right now, so it might be worth doing a lease for some people.

You do not, that is all up to you on how much of a down payment you would like to do or what your lender requires. If you do the financing through Tesla they may require a down payment depending on your credit score and which bank they go through.

Not waiting for the new model 3?
Wanted tax credit for this coming tax season and I don’t see there Being any I. Stock inventory with a discount on the new model. I am thinking about possibly getting in on an order for a new model 3 performance next year if I can take the $7500 credit off the top at purchase.

@@chookchack for Iowa Tesla sales you have to pay the sales tax when you register the vehicle. I believe other states can include sales tax in the sale price.
@@premiumoctane93 i see. I compared your final price to my Y’s purchase price last week and was confused why i didn’t see sales and other taxes in yours.
How did it go from $29k to 45k, thats alot.
Price was high $38k before taxes and registration because of the $1400 destination charge that everyone has to pay. If you saw $45k in the video that was the price before the in stock inventory discount.
@@premiumoctane93 oh, how much is ur insurance, that's the worst part of Tesla. I heard they're expensive. That's what's holding me back... It's actually worse than the price of the car lol
@@YoYo-be4ow it is the most expensive of my cars at $1600 a year but I have 6 cars insured so get several discounts including a low mileage (7500 miles a year ) discount. I am in Iowa well.
You didn’t have to paid the registration and fees up front or was it rolled onto your overall loan amount?
@@kyle_davis for my state I had to pay them after I picked up the car so not included in my loan. It is because Tesla isn’t allowed to sell direct to customers in Iowa.
