Their primary objective for HELLDIVERS 2 was to meticulously design an introductory #cinematic experience that drew inspiration from the iconic style of American military recruitment commercials with a charismatic spokesperson that weaved seamless humor and motivational vigor into the narrative without tipping into excessive exaggeration.
Leveraging the power of #UnrealEngine became an integral part of our pre-production process and workflow, giving us a sophisticated and visually immersive environment. Its robust features allowed us to establish tangible layouts while working with storyboards. The real-time rendering capabilities seamlessly brought scenes to life during the motion capture shoot at the Goodbye Kansas Headquarters in Stockholm, leaving room for creative optimization.
HELLDIVERS 2 was released on PlayStation 5 and Windows on February 8th, 2024, and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
