This guy is one of the underrated Calesthenics athletes. I like your tutorials man dont stop sharing your experience in calesthenics.
The most humble person who has an awesome body also very helpful thanks for taking the time
Dan Bailey is also a very humble man with an awesome body! :)
It's amazing how well you can sculpt your body with just doing body weight exercises
I mean your body is heavy so it really helps build muscle. Hardest for me is pull ups. I have yet to do one good pull up and dips with perfect form since im still a bit heavy and not strong enough

those sure aren't beginner workouts
The big thing I admire about bodyweight trainers is that their shoulders look broad and their traps don't look so bulky. I notice this in professional swimmers too like Michael Phelps. its the advantage of incorporating calisthenics and swimming along with your regular gym workout.

Mah dude got my from only Bodyweight training.. bruh. I need this in my life.
Please, do video how to do handstand on dip bars! :) thanks
This guy makes 2 important points: we don't need fancy equipment to be fit, and we should eat only when we're hungry. Deep truth right there.
Excellent Video, Thank You!
This GUY is so great, he grew so big with just bodyweight exercises, he is an INSPIRATION to all of us !!! Keep up the good work dude, God bless!!!
Does anybody know why there is this occasional popping/tearing sound between my upper pecs when I'm doing Handstand Pushups? It doesn't happen all the time and I don't feel any pain when it does happen, but I'm still worried that it might come back and bite me some day.
Your not warming or stretching properly before the exercise, watch it or you migth tear ur muscles...
It's sternum popping. Its nothing bad really, its just annoying. One in 200 people have this so youre special, sorta.. :D
Nick Timko hahahahahahahahah
Rotator cuff damage
Have you ever tried hand hops? Its like plyo for shoulders. The one arm handstand works great as well, for over all shoulder, stableizer, striength.
does eating cookies, pies and chocolate helps in building muscle? I mean these products have a lot of calories so if i train everyday and eat what i want so is it ok or not? i do eat chicken too, but i really like cookies , pies and chocolate and candies and burgers sometimes. thank you
I think its ok but it doesnt help you to build muscles
visit reddit's subreddit - fitness and bodyweightfitness and look up their FAQ's on nutrition :)
UltraGaivalas It depends on your goals..If you wanna be fat but strong then sure that's great. But if you wanna be lean muscular abd shredded...throw all of that away and eat clean foods. You'll build muscle either way..but with all those excess calories and macros...you'll just put on unnecessary weight.
do you do this everyday? or do you do a different body part per day
I hate and love this guy at the same time.

when people workout this is pretty much what they're trying to do body-wise. Great vids and good energy!
Man I just need a new partner, you guys can see how rip and big i was back then. All i do is drink smoke cigarettes making a wrong choice and partying with friends is bad idea i just wish i had that chance's to find a good partner. I'm really motivated in training :/
You're not motivated in training if you need a partner to get yourself from partying and start exercising..
Chiem van Beljouw Well I can choice to train by myself but I'm not just ready atm. Once I decide to quit drinking and smoking I will, is always a good thing to have a good friend to train with, which is my buddy is on the most wanted.
Skribbles G Why do you dicide to smoke and drink while you want to train? At this point, you show yourself and others that partying is more important than to improve your health. It's YOUR choice to decide if you want to be healthy or not, and not somebody elses. So stop complaining about not having a partner and get your act together and start training!
(Keep in mind that I want to motivate you)
Lets TRAINNNNNNNNN
If u want to have a good training partner u need to be a good training partner your self first
Whats the best way to train for those handstand pushups on the bar? Do u just master the handstand and then try to do it on the monkey bars?
how the heck am I gonna do this?

Sergio Mcfly hi
Very nice! I don't understand why so many are talking like these exercises are impossible though. These were a stable with the old time strong men. If they are advanced for you then work hard on easier variations. I had a tiny weak 95lbs girl doing controlled headstands within a week just by doing daily practice. It takes time to do some variations, but it is possible.

hand stand up against a wall... it took me about 3 to 6 months to do it properly ;
(or if you prefer, at a gym, where you have a mattress if you fall on your back, just make sure you fall on something soft,.... ; there is also the possibility of falling on an inverted bridge , with your back bent and only your legs touching the ground )

The video just crashes?
I just did some of these at my park, I am now shaking from doing just the handstand pushups, as well as the leaned pushups stance as well as the pushups! and the parallel bar dips!
you gotta be kidding.
Man, I love bodyweight exercises!
One of the best things about it, is that we don't need to eat like crazy, as we need with weight training! All we have to do is to eat when we are hungry, just as you said! So we don't have to worry about getting fat, you do not have to become a slave of the diet...
And contrary to what some people think, you gain muscle as fast as with weight training!
Man this is just showing off man. Give us something practical Plz
lol To put it in a nicer way, your shoulders will get stronger as you try to do these exercises. You have to start out with the easier exercises(elevated pushups for example) of course. But after you've gotten comfortable with those, it's time to advance. As the days go by the exercises will become relatively easy. You just have to practice everyday and practice perfect form to avoid injury.
I just love how the title makes it seem like it's something anyone can jump into. Then you see what he does.... Fuck dude, that's freaking amazing
which is why he made a video specifically for people like you who have to build up to a certain point before trying the more advanced exercises. Don't be lazy, look around first before you ask questions that have obvious answers to them. (Not being mean at all) Have a mindset of getting shit done on your own, and not having them handed to you. That's the first thing you need to do before you begin weight lifting, motivate your brain.
You'll be fine. You won't get big unless you work at it for months and months, even years. You will never be caught off guard by size gain, you will see it coming. If you really want to get cut, aim for high reps with little rest in between sets. Once again, you wont get big without serious a serious concentrated
effort.
I really enjoy watching your videos, Paul. I am a guy who's always felt like he was the scrawny, weaker guy, and these videos make it so easy to learn, and are feasible and it's even better that they work. Thumbs up, subscribed, and look forward to getting ripped like you man.
You're very sympathic and you really know what you're talking about. Keep on going!
Useful body-weight shoulder tips. Appreciate posting such videos and keep posting new body-weight exercises that will be useful.
For hand stand push ups against tree/wall, how do you recommend pointing elbows? I see you pointed them more outwards.
you got it wrong..there are people who choose to do this kind of exercises..so you can't judge them..
so the choice is yours ;)
Good job Paul !!
Great Video.. several questions
1. how many days a week or working out back biceps
2. How many reps and sets.
Cheers,
brent
Easily one of the best shoulder tutorials I've seen.
Amazing dude was doing these handstands before they became all the rage on CZcams... Enough props dude.. You really were a CZcams fitness pioneer almost up there with Hannibal For King.
Do you do all 3 types of exercises here in one workout, or focus one by one first?
What are the reps and sets for strength or hypertrophy? Thanks in advanced, Paul
that tuck planche dip is INSANE! I cannot wait until I can do that one.
@Fortress, I love your videos, thanks. One thing I noticed in a few is the wind messing with the audio. There's a simple solution for that where you just need a piece of foam covering it, which allows sound through, but not wind howl.
Heavy squats and deadlifts are amazing and excellent for building mass and strength in functional movement patterns but you can't talk shit about body weight exercises at all, they are one of the best things if not the best at building lean muscle and remember strength comes from lean muscle not bulky muscle.
LOL At 3:00 you can hear people in the back round saying"doesn't that hurt?" & "What's wrong with him?" hahaha
any chance that you could possibly post a video showing a routine, like something laying out sets, reps, what you do each day to get where you are
My level of each exercise
Exercise 1: Handstand Push up against a wall
Exercise 2: Floor Tucked Planche Tips
Exercise 3: Forward Lean Push ups
Bonus Exercise: Still Can't do a muscle up
I started with these a month ago, and oh my God! i'm still walking. I didn't have that much strength, so i just started with the easier ones, i still do the easier ones, but i'll work my way up. And people just need to be smart about this, they will know that they can't do it once they try :p
This was quite helpful. Can you do a workout video for the back?
Thank you for being such an inspiration to so many people. You Rock
Well done, guy!
Don't stop, keep making you videos!
Can you recover and control your landing if your legs fall over your head in the handstand push up or would you be likely to get injured?
The dude at 2:15 with his kid is prolly like "Crazy ass white dude" lol
That takes a lot of balance and strength!
how many times a week do you recommend to train shoulders? and how many times a week is recommended for general workout?, thanks
Great vid man, thanks for taking time to create and post this, bless!
Hey man I got a question... I been going to gym to build muscle for the last 8 months or so but I'm thinking to change to pure body weight exercises. Will it still work for me, will I be able to grow ?
outstanding videos! I will be incorporating these exercises as my balance improves. well done!
You really master of bodybuilding. ....I like you...keep uploading your videos. .....
very educational video for all levels of fitness. i can't wait til i can do a planche or a handstand. one day at a time.
Thanx man i have weak shoulder cuz i didn know how to work them out!
WOW!!! Look at the sky & the clouds in this video!!! AMAZING!!!
This is all front shoulder? What about working the rear?
wide grip bodyweight rows. the one where you hang on a bar that's about waist level.
do only handstand push ups and bodyweight rows, you get impressive shoulders within 2 months. just experiment with grip width and grip positions and leverage (body position)
Don Lucky this is very true. work your back with pullups, tucked front lever rows, handstands, and if you want with some ring face pulls. your shoulders will be dead. all heads.
