In this episode we visit Snowlandia. Home to the Worlds Largest Snow Maze located here in Zakopane Poland. Snowlandia is a Snow land which also includes a Snow Castle, and Igloo and Sledding, definitely one of our favourite activities to do in Poland. The location of Snowlandia is very close to Zakopane, walking distance infact.

Juts about ski jumping. We've got the best ski jumpers in the world history like Adam Małysz and Kamil Stoch with planty olimpic gold medals, world championschips and multi world cup winners. Małysz for a few yers was the most popular sportman in Poland and the best in all history. :)) Even if someone peeing in a squatting position, we call this position Małysz. It came from the jumper's position on the in-run ski jump

I liked your reaction on ski jumping. In Poland this discipline is very popular so it is funny that some people could be not aware that such sport exists 😅

Biggest skiing complex is in Bialka which is 40 minutes from Zakopane.

Leave Wroclaw, go south, you'll find there Karkonosze mountains, great medieval castles and many many more. I love your videos, polish chap living in Galway... you are doing great job. I didn't even know Poland had this as I haven't been back in so long lol and never in winter. Yes, you should wear sunglasses if you're looking at snow because it's basically like looking at water all day which reflects the Sun.
The ski jumping used to be mega popular aka national sport in Poland. We have a few hills where we hosted international competitions. Out champion is called Adam Małysz, now is retired but he was one the most successful ski jumpers of the world. Ski jumping is a part of winter Olympics. It was also the mega-event in countries like Slovenia, Germany, Austria, Japan or Norway. Winter Olympics were super popular in Poland, Scandinavian countries also because our representatives were the champs every year. Other popular disciplines were cross-country skiing or biathlon. Around 20million Poles were watching the Winter Olympics. It was amazing. We used to like the Eurovision too, it was something when every household was absorbed in those events. I thoight I would give you a quick background since you were wondering If people would really use the hills. :)

Yesterday there was an avalanche in the area of "Morskie Oko" lake. The ice on the lake broke. Ps. Zapiekanka is a traditional polish fast food ;)
We heard about this, we were so so lucky to visit when we did, hopefully nobody was hurt but it’s crazy to think we were there just a few days earlier. On a positive note, we really love the Zapiekanka, it’s becoming our new fav 😋
You have already received a few suggestions of places to visit from me, Zakopane is beautiful as the whole of Poland, so try to get to know its less advertised places, you will not be disappointed.

There is one more attraction in Podhale region , although it may not be cheap. In Nowy Targ, about 20 km from Zakopane, there is an aeroclub airport. You can order sightseeing flights over the Tatra Mountains by plane or glider. I recommend the end of April or after the long weekend in May or in the period September-October, where the mountains of the Tatras are colorful. Then you could also see how the Morskei Oko, which you have visited in winter, looks different.
