  • After years of dragging my inflatable boat from the campground to the lake, I finally made my own custom boat dolly for practically nothing. Remember kids: always bring a roll of duct tape with you!

Seriously good video man! I just bought a mariner 4 and have been watching a bunch of dolly videos trying to figure out how to make one. Most other are just showing off what they made and giving no real insight on how to do it. You on the other hand break everything down perfectly for someone who is just learning how to do projects like this etc. And no 15 minutes of dumb fluff you have to suffer through just to get the info you're looking for. Thank you! I hope you make a bunch more vids, because you are an excellent teacher my friend. Would love to see a follow up.

I bought a nice battery box with a built in breaker and usb charging ports. Also a little solar panel / charger that connects to a “cigarette lighter” style port that is also in that battery box. But before I had those two things I used it for years and didn’t worry about anything fancy
Length of time on the water depends on how well you take care of the battery. I usually get 3 days of trolling power when the battery is fresh.

Nice idea, but you need a support for the axle. To keep from collapsing.

I think it works perfectly no letting a big lot thank you. I have a 10.10ft flat bottom kobirli and was thinking about putting dolly wheels on the boat. I would have to put holds in the transom, but if I pushed the boat over rocks it could damage the transom. I would appreciate some. Ideas for this boat she is new and I bought her this winter, any help at all would be appreciated thank you.

Yours needs an all thread axle or something.
I posted my pvc trolley in inflatable boat mods group.. I think you'd like it. The section where my wheels bolt in I used metal pipe.

There’s a quick, easy way using a hand truck, my website shows how, you’ll see a canoe, but it should work fine with your inflatable.

I recently purchased the Intex 5 excursion inflatable boat and I have a Minnkota trolling motor. I’m curious to know your set up with the car battery and how long does the battery last? Does it last an entire day on the water? Do I have to use a circuit breaker?

The key here is once a year. PVC will not hold up with normal use especially with anything that has son weight to it. If you have a heavy kayak or canoe don’t cheap out on a cart.

If you used smaller diameter pipe would that make it stronger

    • @randommaker439

I think there's a sweet spot of pipe thickness, and I think I used the size that is thick enough to be really strong but still a small enough size to where it's manageable. Not everything I've made from PVC has held up as I had hoped, but this boat dolly actually has

I guess intex weight is much lighter than 3.3m 1.2mm 45cm dia pontoon inflatable boat with aluminium decks. Try lifting it ...I don't think its suitable for my 3.3m with 15hp outboard. If anyone have use this DIY for 3.3m 1.2mm thick pvc boat .. please pm me

  • @adventureswithfrodo2721

Pvc is not cheap since 2020.
