    Love my split E key--have been playing for years. Most of the time it's a very quick note somewhere in a piece and this just takes the stress off of having to deal with it.

      Yes, the split E can be very helpful. Some people seem to notice quite a difference, and others don’t notice a difference at all. A lot of it depends on your playing style and your level of technique. Glad you love yours!
      Happy fluting! -Rebecca

    Thank you for these videos showing flute technicalities. I watched the one about offset G and another one about how to fix the popped-out springs, and all of them were very informative to me as a beginner. Good job! Keep it up!

    Thanks for making these videos. I'm a young flutist and I was wondering if you could make a video about how to change our embouchures to better tune ourselves and just tips for finer tuning. Sorry if you've already made a video about this subject but I'm new and flute tuning has really just been on my mind recently

      Great question! Over on my website learnfluteonline.com I have thousands of videos in the membership area. There are tons throughout the lessons that talk about tuning and tone. Another idea, twice a year I run a course called "10 days to better tone" which also contains the same information. As for now I do not have any on this channel, but I will see what I can do. ~Rebecca

    Do you have to re-learn upper register fingering to use a split e flute?

    • @LearnFluteOnline
      @LearnFluteOnline  Před 11 měsíci +1

      There are some alternate fingerings that you may want to learn if you have a split-e mechanism. However, the original fingerings will still work as well. Great question! -Rebecca

    Can a flute have an E mechanism thus beeing inline? :)
    Thanks in advance ❤

      It is true that many flute makers will only offer the split E mechanism on the flutes that are made with the offset G. If you feel you really need one, you can ask the manufacturer of your instrument if they have a few instruments with this function on it, but you’ll be much better off if you can just learn the techniques of playing so it’s not needed. I’ll help you. It’s really fun to pick up your instrument with skills and confidence on how-to. I show you everything you need to know inside Learn Flute Online. Hopefully you can come join us soon. The split E can’t be an option on an inline which it sound like you can when you are show the 2 keys together...

    • @markgaddie6290
      @markgaddie6290 Před 3 lety

      you can with flutes that have a pinless mechanism like brannen, powell, haynes, burkart, nagahara, miyazawa and probably more but i don't know about them. with the pinless mechanism you can also have a C# trill in addition to a split-e and inline flute.
