Santana is the right guy in the WRONG COMPANY. This solo run is something that could really work in WWE, in AEW he's going to get maybe 3 weeks of hype and that's that.
Such a shame Santana and Ortiz were so wasted in aew. They went from tearing the house down with lucha bros in impact to being Jericho's Job Squad.

LAX in Impact was a solid reason I watched. The Konnan LAX vs. Kingston's LAX feud was awesome with hard hitting matches and intensity.

Santana is perfect for WWE, putting him with carlito. While WWE starts breaking up the judgment day, eventually priest teams with carlito and Santana form a Latino heel group and come out the gate destroying the LWO.
It's such a shame that these guys chose AEW over WWE. I would have loved to have seen a LAX vs The Usos storyline.

@@philwalsh8975 K dawg talked about it before. Ortiz didn't want to do more with their careers. He wanted to coast and just keep collecting that pay check while Santana wanted to be used better. That was the point of the Jericho is holding them back issue that started in December 2021. But then of course Eddie has to come and make the feud about himself, Revolution 2022 Eddie gets the match with Jericho. And then look at his run after Santana got hurt. He was doing Dark dancing like a Chippendale stripper. You can search, Konnan discussing their heat last year.

This was what satana wanted. He doesn't want to tag with ortiz. I wish tony was bill watts or eddie graham. Graham would have outdrew wwe and became the top company. It would have been how pro wrestling should be.
So they bring back Santana & Ortiz and then have them part of the team that loses the PPV match.
Then they make them solo acts after this return.
Santana does a taped promo and we see he's just not believable on the mic.
And Ortiz is the better of the two. Santana should stay with him. Otherwise, he's going to struggle.

Santana used to be Mike Draztik and Ortiz was The Funky Monkey Angel Ortiz ..the tag team was originally called EYFBO..they were heavily involved with Chris Dickinson too.
One time at a fans bring the weapons match it was 4 vs 4 eyfbo Dickinson and whoever vs low ki homicide and 2 jersey guys..at the end they had a weird ass finish..we were sitting front row and I guess audibly me and my friends were like wtf..Dickinson and Santana both came up to us saying yeah its cuz low ki wouldn't do the damn job 🤣🤣🤣

Without a proper mouthpiece hard to see Santana getting over as a singles star. Even with a mouthpiece I see it only possibly working as a heel. Truly a shame their tag team booking was truly botched and now as they’re coming back hard to see them excelling as singles guys. For the sake of their career really they need to get it back together and possibly change companies but really don’t see that happening

Santana has a bad attitude. I don't see him going anywhere as a single in AEW. Ortiz is also far more likeable and he's been lost in the shuffle since he and Santana split up. They will never hold the AEW Tag Team Championship because they STILL don't get along at all. They literally JUST had another beef on Twitter!
