When my grandpa Oliver got back from Korea in 1954, he bought a 1941 John Deere model B tractor. The John Deere model B that you were showing in this video could possibly be that tractor.
Mr. Benton, I thought this might be helpful to you. In my case. I also had oil leaving the Powertrol unit, into the rear end of a Model A. After removal and close inspection of the entire Powertrol/rock shaft unit. The problem wasn't a crack in the casting or an internal gasket. It ended up being the "wiper" seal. Which is behind the lower of the two oil pump gears. On the PTO shaft itself. Behind the spring. Thought this info may be helpful to you or a reader? Pulling that lower pump Would have been a much easier solution Had I been able to find the slightest amount posted... I do wish you Good luck on your project.

Possibly. I don't know how far this tractor has "traveled" since being built or where it was originally delivered. It's here in Northeast Nebraska.
Good shout outs!! Been watching most of them from the beginning 😎 all great people!!!
Thanks for the shoutout bud!!
I'm looking forward to your video on your 560 Rob!
MB BAR RANCH
Funny it doesn't leak all the time. I also have a 37 sickle bar. Thanks for the shout. I'll have to check out those other guys.
Just under pressure it leaks.
AG Wild, just under pressure is when it leaks. Does your #37 have a 9 or 7 foot bar? I wish mine was 7.
@@martinbenton742 mine is a 9'. I have a 38 that 7'.
Thanks for sharing it's nice to know that ! I think our 51 A is kinda of the same on the hydraulic pump!
👍
Did you ever take the Powertrol unit off? To look for cracks. I've got an A with the same issue.
No I did not. I may this summer when I pull the axles for seals and bearings.
