It never goes away and just force yourself to travel into its abyss and let the tears fall. Omg, I blogged about why I have holes in my flesh and for the first time I expressed how I digged inside out to not only survive but to prepare myself for more pain.
the piano in the intro is fucking great, its like an extra dimension of beautiful! i dont feel the deppression like some others but i feel the beauty !!!

No other DSBM project comes close to Thy Light IMHO. Perfect balance of musicianship and atmosphere. Repetitive enough to draw you into the music but not enough to bore you and technically proficient enough to be impressive without killing the vibes.

@Chris Bailey i agree with you, it's up to preference. but it's a good way to make someone who just hears noise understand what's so appealing about it. it's like poetry, and some poetry become beautiful through their way of describing something vulgar in a beautiful way, like some poems of Rimbaud.

I Truly think, that if you wanna introduce someone who is unaware of how Black Metal sounds like, Thy Light is one of the best options to present.
It's just amazing how Gorgeous, Depressive and Emotional his sound is. Everyone I've presented this album is intrigued after the first two songs.... This is truly a piece of art.
Marc Geller third is the best in the album imo
I always start people off with the originals like Mayhem and Darkthrone. Then if they like it I'll show them Burzum so they can get a taste of dsbm. The it would be this or Austere

LUSTALGIA diy, atmospheric/doomgaze . My project. Shameless plug but fuck it. The amount of work and money full bands do to pull off low-fi black metal or whatever, is something I can't get behind all the way. "Don't Look Up" a track you may dig.

I was trying to point out modern fakes who pay for studio time and extra effects to make their sound more "black" or dismal when you can all DIY and it just comes out raw and not polished turds. Phase hopping musicians who start out playing Tool covers and now wanna go black metal but haven't got a clue but found an app or tutorial of profiting off all the crafts aesthetics , (low-fi) and raw but spend more than they should. São 3 pilares do DSBM: Thy Ligth, I'm In a Coffin e Silencer. Para quem sente prazer no sofrimento e "quer", mas não "deseja" a morte, devido ao êxtase de descansar desse mundo caótico de miséria e dor. Apoio seu idealizador, Paolo Bruno, ao não misturar esse projeto com o mundo "metal". Thy Ligth tem a ver com sentimentos pessoais, é algo espiritual, não comercial. É uma fuga para o tormento, é extravasar a dor, é colocar flores no túmulo, mas não viver ao lado dele. Obra prima.
Sem duvidas uma obra complexa, odio, vazio, amor, guerra, paz, destruição e renovação, o lado negro do metal está vivo, como em todo humano.
Me lembro da época em que escutava esta demo quase todos os finais de semana, no escuro do meu quarto. A capa original era muito mais expressiva que essa aí, da versão remasterizada. Até hoje sinto arrepios com a quarta faixa, ou com a introdução da segunda. Evidentemente um dos lançamentos mais poderosos do BM.

It was 2010 when i was introduced to this band and album, and up until today I still believe this is one of the best DSBM albums ever released out there. This one truly defines the genre. The whole record will wrap the listeners in utter torment and agony.

La música de thy ligth transmite la profunda soledad de alguien incomprendido ,que es condenado al exilio por ser diferente , La silenciosa melancólica de alguien herido por el rechazo, el sufrimiento individual del que experimenta el luto . El duelo es el momento en que no queremos estar solos , pero preferimos las lágrimas en soledad que compartir nuestro dolor con alguien. Thy ligth se adentra en el oscuro país de la desesperación y la locura , pero vivida de forma personal.

Except Thy means Yours not Die. And in German that could be interpreted as The Light which also negates your point.

We have male, female and neutral pronouns in germany, and ,, Die ´´ is a female pronoun while ,,Licht ´´ is a neutral word. If youre mother Language is english, youre lucky. You just Name things ,, the … ´´ .
