    You see a kid getting raped, you call the police

      No, you wait a month or so until a job you want opens up, then you go see Paterno.

      Or you tackle the rapist - especially if you are 6’4” young and strong. I guess he was shocked and embarrassed … but cmon. It’s a little kid - 10 years old.

    This guy ought to be in the cell with sandusky for not stopping it and immediately reporting it to police. Joe Paterno is not the police

    This clown should be banned from football. What grown twenty six year old man witnesses a ten year old being molested and just walks away. Worse does not dial 911 or go to the police. He goes and ask his dad. GTFOH!

    • @Calvin1985
      @Calvin1985 Před 4 lety +2

      Apparently he didn’t actually see anything, he just heard suggestive noises. If anything McQueary is a hero for reporting what he observed to Paterno. Otherwise kids would still be getting raped in PSU locker rooms today.

      Immediately physically stop the rape or die trying. And after that, go IMMEDIATELY to the police. After that notify staff and the public. This guy went to his daddy and asked for advice on what to do. There’s no way any functioning adult wouldn’t know what to do.

      He also spoke to athletic director Tim Curley and (most importantly) VP Gary Schultz, who was the university official in charge of the police. I blame Schultz and Curley the most. I think McQueary was trying to do the right thing, and the people who had the power to really do something about it betrayed his trust.
      Then again, after a while, when he saw nothing being done to stop Sandusky, he could have gone straight to the real police, and he didn't.

      @NorthStars the Steagle No, he saw it. He says he and Jerry looked right at each other. I am glad he reported it, but when nothing happened, he should have gone to the police, or went to Paterno again. Sometimes you have to report something again, when it is something as important as the safety of kids. You have to persevere.

      @NorthStars the Steagle I don't know about that. I am 66 and I never saw or heard of any coach or even a parent showering with kids, or running around touching each other like that. We hug our kids and grandkids, play with the little ones, but nothing weird like that.
