Synopsis:

I don't think Xianxian's character is at all toxic. We all know that Zhou Siyue was the reason she had a bigger dream or goal... It's just that she later realized she had to come to this point because she liked him, not because she was pursuing her own dream. The character development in this drama is extremely realistic. Later episodes made it clear why Ding Xian is behaving in this manner. Zhou Siyue was her entire world during their high school years. You can't really blame her. That's what it means to love someone and want to be with them for a long time.
That's why I'm so taken with this drama. They've depicted the characters' growth in the most realistic way possible.

This was so me. I felt like someone saved me during the worst days of my life (literally) and because of that I made them my whole world and made plans for the future involving him or his associates. Even now, I am eternally grateful, but the character development, it feels similar to what and how I went through with it. Tho, he didn’t end up with me, nor I with him, I am still happy I went through it all.

Well, I saw many comments rooting for the second lead. But, to be honest, I can never imagine Ding Xian with someone else other than Zhou Siyue. He is a perfect sweetheart. Thoughtful, caring, protective, and whatnot. He is a perfect boyfriend/husband material.
P.s. I know sometimes he is a little dumb but that's ok, nobody's perfect. Ding xian did many dumb, irrational things in high school times too.

Glad Xian finally got to the point of You want me gone fine I'm gone. Siyue kept doing things to push Xian away. Yes he said he wanted her to do something that made her happy but he also was pushing her away because he was afraid. He already said that he didn't think he deserved to be with her because of his family situation. He did things the way he did because he wanted to chase her away. Before she would come back and forgive him for being a jerk. "You don't know what you have till it's gone."

The ML could have just told her that he loves her no matter what she does,that will make her learn more and concentrate on her field rather than playing her around like a puppy 😭. He needs some lessons.
Am I the only one who is really concerned about the fact that she signed a contract without reading it? I don’t know if it’s my trust issues or what I have learnt from watching other dramas but signing a contract without reading never ends well, I hope it’s not going to be that way for her
