My doodroo was eating nibs so quickly that I switched to a rounded titanium nib.
I'm actually enjoying the switch! Even though the nib is harder than the screen protector and technically scratches it at, like, a microscopic level, it's not really even noticeable if I'm not pressing super hard.
I just wipe it off with some water and a microfiber cloth, and any trace of my writing is gone from the surface.
I guess that's the bonus of the screen protector being made at the same roughness of paper; it is extremely durable and will likely last a year or more even using a rounded metal nib.
And damn does it feel so, soooo good to write on. It's a tool I actually want to use, and for something meant to enhance productivity like the boox tab Ultra that's a big deal.

I am glad someone else decided to switch to the everlasting nibs. As someone who writes daily for ~2 years, your screen protector is going to be just fine.

Thanks Voja, always interesting and informative reviews.
I bought 3 of the Doodroo, for three devices, iPad Pro 12.9 & 9.7 and for my BOOX Tab Ultra C.
Watched your video, watched their video, prepared my workspace and my device (12.9) ready for installation. I have done this previously on another device with a different screen protector.
Aligned the Doodroo, applied the tape to hold it in place. Got to the point where I had removed the backing cover, to stick it onto the screen, 1/3 into it, I see an air bubble 😮, a dot…. ! This is where it started to go wrong! Do not do what I did!
I reversed to remove the one dot 😮😢 and I did it again… there is static in the film, that will attract dust!
Now I have too may bubbles and dust points.
What I should have done was to just continue in one motion and gotten it down. I might have had one or two dust marks. Yes, there is a second sheet, but this is a relatively expensive exercise to mess up.
On the other hand and much brighter side, the feel of the Doodroo, is very nice, the handwriting experience is good. I know this is on an iPad, I will get to the BOOX when I have built up my courage to try again.
Feel. Not like sandpaper but if you run your finger nail surface on the screen, you can see a slight abrasive mark from your nail. Very interesting. I also have a Healing Shield coming.
Thought I would share my experience here.

I was watching this hoping it would have low reflectivity; which seems to be the big issue with protectors for these devices and my main concern. I'll stick with the standard screen for now until they come out with something closer to the actual screen surface. Thanks for reviewing.

Honestly the combo of that stylus and real paper probably exceeds or at least sounds like it exceeds the friction of paper and pen or pencil. Would love to see you rig that friction test up with stylus nibs and their counterpart tabs and then get paper and ball point pen and paper and pencil values for a comparison
Paper with the wood of pencil is different to lead etc. that may give more accurate representations of writing experience. Just a thought

I write in Scrivener which is great but not the best atmosphere to review my work at the end of the day as it is rather taxing. However, if I could review it on a e-ink screen and add notes easy to reference... that really would be something.
There seems to be three main CZcamsrs where I hoped to find direction regarding this issue _[Kit, Voja & Brandon],_ yet to date haven't yet stumbled upon a video that addresses reviewing e-books as well as the organisation issues surrounding this topic.
