I want to give Mike McDonald two years to prove himself and I can see where making a clean break is important. Next year a few of those pictures should go back up but leave a large blank area with a sign "it's up to you to fill this space".
Were there any pictures of steve largest? Big Walt? kenny easly? Cortez? Alexander? If not, this was not a wall of seahawks history, it was a wall of Pete Carroll history. Time to turn the page and save the history for fan areas and the ring of honor.
Pete Carroll is a big part of that though.

This is where I came down on this because it's not the fans area that this is being done, it's the teams. Chuck is such and underappreciated coach in Seahawks history.
Kenny Easley gets lost in Seattle history. He the best safety they ever had. Better than Kam or Earl, Injuries got him. But in his time no one was better. He'd be amazing in today's NFL. Number 80 is special. Looking at him you'd never see a WR. Throw him the ball and it never hit the turf. Oh and he seemed to be always wide open behind the defense being slowing and maluses in zero-degree temperature.
My only thing bout the pictures is He could have kept up Paul Allen with the SB trophy. It’s his team, he’s dead & it’s the only SB trophy in franchise history.. that to me its a lil disrespectful. I understand the players pictures being gone but Allen should be honored & memorized

They may do a different mural for Paul Allen, just removing everything from previous regime. I’m withholding negative judgment for now. I doubt MacDonald will disrespect Paul Allen like that. I’m guessing he might have gotten buy off from Jody as well if he plans to do something else for Paul. People need to calm down a bit and look at the bigger picture rather than picking up their pitch forks

I’m not bothered by this at all. It’s not the first time the wall was changed. We will forever remember that Seahawks championship team. But personally, I feel like we’ve never moved on from the worst Super Bowl lost either…. we needed a real reset.
McDonald is crafting his own team and the players can take great pride in knowing it's a new start of their own . To form new tradition and fulfill their destiny. Which would be a SB Championship. Damn I wrote without watching the whole vid. I just heard big cat basically say the same . GO HAWKS!

Every Head Coach makes changes! Different atmosphere, different look, different styles... The Seattle Seahawks are going to become a very different team, starting this 2024 season. I'm quite certain that the posters are still around, the history of the Seattle Seahawks doesn't change, but the look and style and atmosphere does!
It doesn't matter if posters are taken down and changes are made, what matters is what kind of team will take the field and how well they do!
As long as you know what you have achieved should be most importantly.

I am a boomer but in all my years associate with school activities hallway decor always included the school’s (team’s) history. The removal of some to make way for the new I understand, but the removal of Paul Allen’s portrait is going to far. Sounds to me that our progressive need to remove historical documentation has entered our locker room and I for one cannot agree with Leonard Williams or for that matter, Bob Rang.

We werent looking for someone to do ALL this, it was purely suppose to be whoever comes in, Love us as we are, And help us improve and get better. There was nothing WRONG about Petes era here in Seattle.. One of the best franchises in football. Its better to accept that and keep it close than to try and flip the page and start over new.. But whatever. I hope they can achieve MORE than what Pete was able to, Because it wasnt much as of recently. But if this goes bad for Mike and John, The Seahawks might aswell sell the franchise and leave Seattle. But whatever it takes. Its not a big issue. Mike MacDonald should be entitled to have his own era and not be stuck in comparison with Pete his entire time here, and whatever it takes for that to happen, do it. We want to win games and get the fans LOUD again. The 12s havent been the 12s for a long time now. We had one game last season where the 12s ACTUALLY did their part at home, and Ive never seen our team get more sacks in a game than that game this past season. Gotta get back to that energy. Love and Believing is the only way to accomplish it. No doubt we will have the talent to be a great team next year.
