“Can’t get any blinder” is bloody genius
"Can't go any blinder, mate" OMG that was comedic genius!
I love how they're not sure what would happen if food gets delivered but it's happened repeatedly when Jimmy hosted the big fat quiz so he should know the food will show up.
In Italian, "see a comedy" means "make yourself comfortable" (si accomodi).

I had a dream in which I seriously offended Jimmy Carr. He was really unhappy with me. I've never met Jimmy Carr, but I still feel a bit bad about it.
Let me guess, you were dreaming that you were a tax collector?
@@nonegone7170 Haha! I don't remember what happened, but I woke up genuinely worried for a while that Jimmy Carr was actually pissed off with me.
You *should* be worried. Jimmy Carr *will* find you and he *will* say something devastatingly mean yet funny to you.
If I could manage to offend Jimmy Carr, I’d wear it like a badge of honor.
Good comment. 👍
Baie dankie - very thanks. Proper response - plesier
23:00 talking about subtitles… but this video doesn’t have any.
Yes, their channel is one of the rare educational channels to extensively work against having subtitles in a video - when they could just as well CZcams generate them on the fly. Talk about accessibility... That's weird, especially given how the BBC always has closed captioning for their programming. And I doubt they would mind them being reused here for the good of the internet...
Thank you
Never disappoint!
6:05 the french took back that record. With a baguette of course.
Afrikaans speaker here ... Baie dankie for the mention 😁
Seriously that screwing technique came second nature to me when I was a game technician. Now I know why it worked
In 1970's "The Whole Earth Catalog" I think it was called, the Little Red Ridinghood story and others are related in this phonetic manner. Starts something like 'ladle rat rotten hut'.
How to install new front derailleur
Yes
What is the title of Allen's song !?!? Sweet Sound
Say, what runes are those tattooed under Sandi's wrist?
We paused at "...best sandwich?" and that conversation has lasted an hour. Not yet resolved...
What about a good ol' PB&J?
14:38 I'm pretty sure that one is from San Francisco.♥️🌈
Ok, how did Alan get the best buzzer?
Lol... These are the best comments on CZcams... Jamaica
@20:55 anyone else hear a man talking in the background during this bit with Alan?
Yes
"Is Wallace or Gromit an emotion..?"
Extremely positive algorithm comment
Just to pump the algorithm, I have a couple of proposals:
If Sandi and or Alan want to bail out some time soon, maybe consider doing what most encyclopedias did when they were all sets of books: condense W, X, Y & Z into one season. Then just convince them to hang on to the end.
There's nothing wrong with starting over with A after you finish Z. I don't know how the BBC would react to having Hugh Dennis host but I think that they would have no problem with Victoria Corin Mitchell or the black lady with the Doctorate in Astrophysics whose name escapes me. Any of those three would work for me. Oh, and Bill Bailey too.
If Alan wants to leave, like he did after series M, Aisling Bee, Russell Howard, Sophie Duker, Ed Gamble, and a bunch of others whose faces I can see, without clue one what their names are, would make fine tanks.
I think that Alan often purposely absorbed claxons to keep the show moving. I could see that being part of his job.
Alan said that he hasn't been getting acting jobs, so that might be a reason that he would stay on the show. Victoria would definitely have similiar energy to Sandi as a host. I like when Victoria hosts HIGNFY. Victoria and her husband definitely have a similiar sense of humor. Either of them would make a good host for QI. Jimmy Carr was good here, too. I prefer this version of Jimmy than to when he is excessively crude with his humor. If he wasn't so busy, I would love to see more of Jimmy on QI.
@@marywood2865I want to see Jimmy Carr on taskmaster, but more than that my dream lineup would involve Sandi toksvig, Stephen fry, Susie dent, and Rachael riley, and then maybe Bill Bailey is the fifth cuz I can't think of who else would fit in with the other four.
@@nybbleme Sounds good. Would Jimmy do it though? I mean he's not one to have even a hair out of place...of course that would make it even funnier for the rest of us!
One of my favorite Jimmy Carr appearances. I know the guy is problematic, but damn he seems like such a good dinner party guest.
the tax thing was over a decade ago . what else is problematic.
?????
That Buddhist hitting with a stick thing was in An Idiot Abroad with Karl Pilkington. I don't think it was because he fell asleep during meditation, but because ants were walking on him and he moved. Also can't Sandi use some of her "TV money" to buy 3 bananas for her 3 kids? Lol I don't know about in the U.K., but here in the U.S., bananas are one of the cheapest fruits to buy, making it even weirder to divide on banana into 3 pieces!
More! Algorithm, more!
I appreciate that as a guest, Jimmy Googles things. But as a host (Big Fat Quiz) he chastised out on several panelists for both Googling and texting people in the audience 😂
I can't even be mad. Both sides are entertaining!
Please point to the moment when he actually Googled anything?
Was it before or after he made the remark (read: obviously joking) about it?
If you really googled something, it was probably just for his own curiosity to research the topic more later rather than "cheating"... Allegedly there was a guest who appeared a couple of times who demanded to know the questions in advance... Can't remember who but I do remember there was one guest who was so insufferable that they refused to ever invite him back

When they post the episodes or clips online, I wish they would put in subtitles in various places to correct information they gave which later what is discovered to be wrong, like when they claimed 70% of the internet is Spam which is garbage, 70% of all email might be spammed but certainly not 70% of the internet traffic. They also claimed that in America we take jaywalking seriously which is absolutely ludicrously untrue, and they also claimed that in America we put a pickle in the Christmas tree and it's considered good luck to be the first person to find it. While I have found pickle Christmas ornaments on amazon, I've never heard of a single person who's heard of it. And I practically did a survey of a 3,000 employee company and they just all thought it was the most bizarre question ever.
American here -- my family has a pickle ornament that my father always hides on Christmas morning. First person to find the pickle gets an extra gift.
It is part of the premise of the show. I have watched it from the beginning, and they have been doing this forever. Just check out all the episodes about the number of moons the earth has.😂
Chris McAuslin has never tried Dukes Mayonnaise.
I'm not even southern and I absolutely HAD to say that.
I make my own spicy mayo to dip Sushi into from Dukes and Rooster Siracha. If I don't use Rooster Siracha, I use gochuchan (my spelling, sorry) especially if I want a little sweetness in it.
Yes! Dukes is the best! (and I am from the south)
Im from the south and ive never heard of dukes mayo. South of what country?
Blücher means "glue" in German. It was an inside joke in the movie "Young Frankenstein." Anytime anyone said Frau Blücher's name, the horses would start and neigh.
I never heard the term Blücher used for glue at all in german!
Edit: Even after trying very hard to find any source at all for use of the term Blücher as glue, I couldn't find anything! There are several terms for glue in german but Blücher is 100% not one of them!
It absolutely doesn't.
@@F_Karnstein really? This was in a breakdown of the movie. Please - educate me - what does it mean?
@paulgrieger8182 To be perfectly honest: I don't know. It's a fairly common surname. The general who defeated Napoleon at Waterloo was named (von) Blücher and you'll find ships, streets, schools and other places named after him, but I cannot find any hint as to its etymology. What I do find are several discussions on Reddit and similar sites where this myth is addressed and fellow Germans are just as confused as I am 😂
"Glue" really is "Kleber" in German - depending on context maybe "Kleister" or "Leim"... 🤷♂️
This awful "virtual audience" sounds so crap. It ruined that whole series.
It's like having very noisy neighbours while watching tv.
Also "you" can't watch every QI series on iplayer. So thanks for the upload.
I have seen all of these. I caught most of them on Britbox during the pandemic. And the first few seasons were on you tube. There are still some on Britbox, including the newest ones. When I want to catch up, I get a free 7 day trial.
Sorry Jen, but the gas station sandwiches in the US are just as shit lol
Fact check?
Where?😊
@@paulhammons7077 i suspect this is a bot. 1sr ever comment and channel is 7 days old.
"Baie Dankie" is Afrikaans, but the response to it is incorrect. " Yu iz Welkom" is not phonetically correct, it's more like "Yay us Welkom" . However, the most common response is "my plesier", pronounced "May pləˈsiːr"
What is the title of Allen's song !?!? Sweet Sound
@rainbeau5164 Rad Thank You !!
