    I'm having a hard time get the bottom bald fade line out. Will zero gapping masters help me get it out? And since they are zero gapped will a 1 guard closed cut hair shorter than before?

  • @xderiwx
    @xderiwx Před 8 lety +3

    Nice video! Would a Andis Master fully closed and stock, be able to fade out the line from an Andis T-Outliner that's stock? Or is it absolutely necessary to have the Master zero-gapped to achieve a bald fade with the Master/T-Outliner combo?
    Thanks!

    • @KevvThaw
      @KevvThaw  Před 8 lety +4

      Great question. But unfortunately it is impossible to fade the line of t-outliner with a stock andis master, it just doesn't cut close enough. You'd have to feather cut (use the corner of the blade) with the t-outliners skillfully to get the line out if you don't wanna zero gap your masters. And that's a difficult task.

    Years ago b4 I knew how to zero gap,I popped off the lil' nib that actually pushes the blade up,out of frustration.😢 Ignorantly thinking smthg was wrong with them.Since then I've bought many other clippers,but none quite like these.I tried crazy glue/gorilla glue,- nothing.I thought about drilling a tiny hole wherebthe nib was(lost it) & putting apiece of wire,plastic,toothpic in it's place!😂 - Is there a way to fix these without sending them back to the manufacturer?This happened almost 20 yrs ago,but they're still in great condition because I barely got the chance to use them!Thanks in advance.

  • @biggodthebarberYouTube

    After 0 gapping does anyone elses clippers make a loud sound when the guards are on and all the way closed? If so how do you fix that? By clipping the guards?

    • @KevvThaw
      @KevvThaw  Před 6 lety +1

      Yea that's gonna happen. The guards aren't made with zero gapping in mind. So it's gonna chew at the guards for a few uses and then it stops.

  • @GamerPkc75

    • @Fa-kc3yv

      Yes, but know that when your lever is closed it might rattle against the guard and make a noise, possibly shaving your guard. Just open the blade a millimeter when using guards.

    Aye, my lever on my masters is so loose! Like I’ve tightened the bolts to make it tighter and when I turn it on the lever is just like so loose it won’t stay at the notches where I put it. Any advice?

    • @KevvThaw
      @KevvThaw  Před 6 lety

      Hmm, that's strange. And by "bolts" you mean the four screws under the blade right?

    • @mattlopez3509

      Thebarberstable yes the four screws.

    • @mattlopez3509
      @mattlopez3509 Před 6 lety

      Thebarberstable it’s only when I turn the clipper on, it will stay at the first and last notch but the two middle notches it will go down it won’t stay so I don’t know if there’s a trick to fix it or if I should send it back?
