  • Had to use an old method to Zero-Gap the new Andis Cordless Masters since they don't come with an easy zero gapping tool or the ability to easily gap them with out modifying the bracket.

    To zero gap the original masters you shouldn’t have to break the metal piece on the back of the blade. Just take off the face plate, loosen the two screws that keep the bottom blade holder in place. You should be able to move the bottom blade up to zero gap the clippers.

      Edwin Clark on many of them that’s all you had to do but for the ones I’ve owned and set for others this was the solution. Even with the cordless version it was the same way.

  • @bobbystillz222
    @bobbystillz222 Před 3 lety +1

    The real way to fix that without breaking that piece off is when you take off your blade there’s a little pin sticking up which moves the slider back-and-forth. When you move the lever you’re going to see in the middle under the blade is a little pin sticking up. If you wanted to move more you take a screwdriver put it on the pin and then tap it with a hammer lightly down like a millimeter. If you want it the opposite because it’s moving to far you take a needle nose pliers and you pull the pin out slightly

  • @Mike-hy8cs
    @Mike-hy8cs Před 4 lety +3

    Do you feel like it has the same power as the corded version? Like do you have to go over spots more often and detail more with it being cordless? Also do you feel its necessary to have the lever go up farther like that? I have my original masters zero gapped but I did it the more traditional way by opening the base of the clipper and pushing the bracket up. Curious on your thoughts I might try having my lever like that if its better.

    • @Christopher_Minnieweather
      @Christopher_Minnieweather  Před 4 lety +1

      Michael Almonte thanks for watching bro. They definitely are very powerful I don’t have to keep going over the haircut. It’s also powerful enough to easily go through nappy haircuts that haven’t been combed out. As far as the zero gap goes if you are taking the bald line out with your current method of gapping then you don’t need it. It seems like some masters are easy to gap without this mod. For my masters corded and cordless I had to do it like this to getting that close. Hope that helps!

    • @Mike-hy8cs
      @Mike-hy8cs Před 4 lety +1

      @@Christopher_Minnieweather Hmm I mean mine doesnt perfectly pick up the bald line it leaves a slight line if i tried it with it but if you use my method which is to first do the skin line with another clipper example i use my cordless seniors to do the skin line and then i just use trimmers and balder underneath and it blends all perfectly into the masters. Keep the videos coming bro! So would you say its worth the price tag?

    • @Christopher_Minnieweather

      Jane Doe it’s not a controversial topic. Simply stating my opinion. Babyliss is on the rise because they have built a team of barbers and friends on the industry that test there products give feedback and the company applies the information. Andis has yet to reach out to barbers in the industry to see what the industry desires and needs.

You are correct about the blades. Babyliss uses the wahl blade system. The blade sizes are exactly the same that is why you can use wahl guards on Babyliss and vice versa.hope that helps!

      I can’t say what’s better. It’s a preference thing. I learned on masters in barberschool and so that’s what I’m most comfortable using. I’ve been learning and trying to perfect my whal and Babyliss skills more so within the last few years. I’ve always used what’s with no guard then switch to masters to finish the cut after that point. I never just did the whole cut with only wahls back then. But I can say I love all 3 clippers each brand came with there A game. The Babyliss motor is better and newer technology I must say though. Both whal and Babyliss also have bigger batteries. Whal has 2200mah Babyliss 2100mah and Cordless masters only has 1400mah
