I miss the old squad lol 😂
Jesus loves you and may God bless you ..
As a nets fan I think you’re completely right. It’s time to stop what ever we’re doing and start a rebuild.
Fr
@@Aldijan3r😂😂😂
They are rebuilding
Wait, there are actual nets fans??? I thought the “fans” all left when Kd and Kyrie left.
You can't go into full blown tank mode when you don't control your own 1st round pick until 2028.
The team with LaVert, Allen, D'Lo, and Kenny as the coach was a fun team to watch
Lavert and Allen got even better this year. I couldn't believe the nets let them go like that
For those of you who didn't know Jason Kidd was a point guard? I feel personally attacked AND old
🤦♂️🙇♂️...
Those are probably GenZ fans. And we don't acknowledge them.
I,m 12 years old and I now who Jason kid was a pg and he played with Vince, Carter and Richard Jefferson, and Kenyon Martin
In Brooklyn
@@user-lv5jf2ux2bI thought the Nets were in New Jersey at that time, damn I'm old lol
I get your point about the Celtics, but let's hold up on calling them a dynasty until they actually win something.
Finally someone said it. As a Celtics I feel the same
Preach. Like Dillon in Memphis trash talking about building a dynasty... you ain't got a single ring son... let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
FACTS
2008 championship is the most milked chip in the history of the NBA
Damn KD fired Atkinson. Then he went to the Warriors as an assistant coach in during the 21-22 season and won a chip with them... Damn😬😬
Didn't know about that second half. The irony.
No Kyrie did!
I see so many people talking about KD getting Kenny fired and endorsing Steve Nash, with nobody providing evidence of it. Just hearsay.
Sometimes I still wonder if the Nets could've become a championship team had Drazen Petrovic not died, his irreverence even towards MJ was legendary, but unlike other trash talkers he backed it up with actions, even MJ respected him.
Man, I feel so old 😂
my issue with dumping bridges for draft picks is.... ur gonna tak e those 4, 1st roundrs in hopes to get another bridges..
😅
So true
@@Aldijan3rlol now I will never follow allah all because I saw you type this. I hope your mission backfires you shill
However by the time u get the pieces to put around bridges, he’s gonna be mid 30’s. He doesn’t fit the timeline at all
Yea but 1 bridges ain’t enough, you have to have 7 or 8 at one time, not even 1 dame and 1 Giannis is enough
You better be hoping to get more than another Bridges. Is good, not great.
I think loyalty to Brooklyn is what is keeping him there. As a gm I’d want ppl who are on the team to want to be on the team.
As a Nets fan, I hate it here. 🤦🏽♂️
New owner vibes. He don't want a rebuild and then lose money his first 5 years. He had the world in his hands and now he has Ben Simmons lmaoooo
"Building a dynasty for themselves quite literally" = 0 titles
Words truly lost their meaning...
Yeah. Exactly what I quoted when sharing, too.
Tremendous Dinasty..
Regular season dynasty lol
Nic claxton is honestly underated
Mike you up early lol
My same thoughts
if he’s on the east coast it’s 9am which isn’t crazy early
@@gunnar9366hes on the west coast
They 100% need to rebuild but they also need to relocate this team. I’ve been to 10 Nets games over the past 5 years and never not one time did it feel like they had home court advantage. Not even with KD and Kyrie. I think this will make stars not want to play in BK until they draft their own star. I remember Harden mentioning how it feels like you’re always playing away when you’re with the nets.
Why?? Is it like far or something or the fans that live around??
No its bc they play in NYC… its mostly a knicks town and there nets fans here and there that live in NYC but NYC is so big that there are many fans from all 30 nba teams so when those away teams come to the Barclays those fans always buy tickets to see their team play and since there arent many Nets fans in NYC it always feels like playing away.
@@randysolis7114 I'm with you... I grew up in Colorado and have been a Nuggets fan since they were the ABA 'Rockets' in the mid 70s. I took my son and a couple of his teammates to a Nets game wearing my Dan Issel jersey and I was completely shocked how many Nuggets fans I saw in the arena. We didn't outnumber the Nets fans, but it was close enough that it really felt like a game on 'neutral ground' with both teams being 'away' teams. I really think the move to Brooklyn hit their fan base pretty hard. A lot of the Jersey fans just found it to be too far away now from say central Jersey to go to a game plus the price of the tickets went up by quite a bit after the move but the team got worse.
What? I'm a season ticket holder. I go to the games. I get that it fits a NBA narrative (much like the pre-star era of the Clippers), but that isn't true.
@@deandrewoods-walker5392 what isn’t true? That any playoff team that goes to the Barclays has home court advantage. They have the biggest dip in viewership they only sell tickets for the opposing teams. When Lakers and Knicks come in just as example it’s the biggest home court advantage for them of any away game.
Dinwiddie and Seth are constant trade packages 😂
I wonder what they will do in the off season, I really like Bridges. Would love to see him on the Kings

I get you like Mikel but the point is how dumb the nets are. Im a long time net fan a don't have any wants of a Bridges jersey. The best deal, was to get your own picks back and tank the rest of ths season.
What dynasty did the Celtics build?💀 that word really is just thrown around now a days
The Celtics won 8 titles in a row from 1959 to 1966.
The lose to Jimmy Butler dynasty
Brooklyn Nets Needs To Buyout Ben Simmons
He won’t do it he wants all his money
They do but Ben has absolutely no incentive at this point to take a buyout. The only way they get him off the team right now is to turn him into the new Bobby Bonilla
NO. That's the worst idea ever. He's off the books after this next season. That's literally in 16 months. Rather wait.
Kudos for dropping the word PLETHERA in there Mike.
As a Celtics fan I’ve been sick of Kyrie since 2019 but that line about Eric Adams was gold 😂
“Ky y u ant play like this on the nets”
“Thanks mayor Adams for that”🤣🤣🤣🤣
As bad as the Nets front office is, they're still not as dumb as the Bulls.
Mike, I think the Nets need to just hire you brotha.😉
To quote the inimitable Jalen Rose, “picks don’t play.” Many of Brooklyn’s issues can solved via coaching. Their roster isn’t that much of a problem, Ben Simmons notwithstanding.
picks also do not demand trades claiming that the team is wasting their prime years or leave in free agency for nothing. Also, their roster is 2.5 wins behind the play in right now. The best spot that they can get to, with this roster is a first round exit. There is no way in hell for them to beat a top 4 team, 4 games out of 7.
You crazy Coach is doing well. Their highest paid players who eats the money up does not play and that hurts them. Samek as lakers 2 guys eat up the money and they had to pick up guys no one else wanted Coach Ham is good for that team but James is the issue. He wants coaches and players he wants to win which is not how this works. Nets need to get rid of Ben and use that cash for real players to make this team better
@@KemalArdilGulezFirst one exit is basically the only viable route they got since they got no pick this year
@@J10005trading some of their own picks back for Mikal Bridges (and maybe some more picks for Cam Thomas and Cam Johnson) and tanking was another viable route as Rockets were dumb enough to take that trade anyway.
@@rezsurfer2808 The problem is that there is no viable way to get rid of Ben Simmons. Literally the best way forward is to waive and hope someone else signs his bum ass. By the time Simmons' contract ends (June 2025), Nets will still have no picks and no core to build around. Bridges will start passing his prime, Cam Thomas is not franchise player material, Cam Johnson and Dorian Finney-Smith are good role players but that's it. Coach Vaughn is fine though, I agree with that.
Cam Thomas the future, build around him
I agree they should have made the trade but there is more than one way to rebuild. Building a good supporting cast before Simmons contract is off the books makes them very appealing to free agents. They'd be a star player away from being competitors once that money frees up
I was surprised dorian finney smith didn't get traded. As for ben, next season his contract is expiring so maybe they can trade that. Jacque vaughn needs to go at the end of the season cuz he's bad as darvin ham
As a bets fan it is time for them to go back to Newark Nj at the prudential center
You forgot to say that he stays healthier than Kawai too!
I would've understood what they were trying to do, if they hadn't rejected the Rockets offer of all their picks back for Mikal Bridges. I think even Knicks fans like me are wondering why Sean Marks still has a job.
I’ve never heard a nba player saying “I prefer coming off the bench” that’s crazy
who says that?
he said he wants to start bro
Jamal Crawford was king of the bench and loved it there
Nets team has potential to be super scary 6’8 players you can switch between 1-5
As a nets fan the nets gm doesn’t know shit
It's our owner tbh
Nets traded dinwiddie cuz he was playing bad for them. They also got keita bates-diop from the suns in the royce oneale trade. They did thay so they can sign claxton in the off-season and the nets needes a point guard
As a Nets fan I think their thinking is to hold onto bridges and bank on getting Trae Young or Donovan Mitchell banking on the Cavs to go out first round and Atlanta to miss the playoffs
Lol they literally just came in to fuck that franchise up and leave
You get into quite a purgatory when you rack up so many picks in The same draft. Like, do you really want to get rid of vets to have 6 first round picks to develop immediately? Probs not.
I honestly kinda like our team right now I think marks is trying to get us back to the 2018 dlo type team that’s just fun to watch and go too. That was my biggest gripe with the KD Kyrie teams the vibes at the barclay just sucked.
Mike i think because brooklyn does not own there pick they decide to be a medicore if they rebuild there picks will go to the rockets same ..they will repeat what happen if the rockets gets a player like tatum and brown using by the brooklyn
0:57 I’m dancing😂
Talk about Orlando Magic !! LETS GO MAGIC !!
Mikal Bridges has to join the New York (Villanova) Knicks.... It has to happen
A lakers fan telling other teams are delusional that is hilarious.
We calling the Jason Tatum, Jaylen Brown Celtics a dynasty now?🤔
I must have missed when they won something...
Thank u Mike. I have no frickin idea what we’re doing either. It’s sad af
The nets don’t have a pic this year unless they got at deadline not sure.
Nobody trading for Ben Simmons in his massive contract which they have to pay for the next two years. Their best bet is just to keep them and hope things turn out better. He still has talent. What are you gonna do just cut them and yeah that’s stupid.
you said it yourself, Bridges has the potential to become a Kawhi style player, maybe even better in some regards. if he stays healthy the ceiling could be unlimited.
Nah, he’s not getting better. He’s the third guy of a championship team. It doesn’t make any sense to build around him
@@ImadogGarcia i think he has 4-5 years left of his prime before he starts to play poorly. He can still improve
I stopped caring for the Nets when they were snatched out of Jersey (home state) and Ben Simmons is a cornball 😄
Go Cavs!!
Ben Simmons is doing what Gilbert Arenas did.
Just what i needed.
You need to make a video on how insanely well the Jazz’s rebuild is going
Jason Kidd is in my top 5 Pure PG. 🎉
Sean Marks made some great moves, Asset Masterclass a;; the research and Data shows Ben Simmons with Lebron type potential. If seen workout you'll know what we all saw in Simmons. Cant predict injuries as well.
As a New York Knicks fan, nets mismanagement brings me extreme joy, especially after a bunch of band Wagener fans popped out of nowhere rooting for KD and Kyrie and we’re nuts fans all of a sudden when I’ve lived in New York, my whole life and never seen them before 😂
As a brooklyn nets fan, I agree that they are crazy for not trading mikal. When I saw that they could have gotten a first round pick that could potentially draft me(I wanna go to the nba) I was so sad.
Mike you been it !
The roster can compete the coaching just sucks
Let’s go knicks
We finally got hope
I wanna see Ben Simmons play for the spurs he needs a small market where basketball’s all he got to do and with wemby he can really focus on passing and defense and wit pop I think it’ll change his whole life and career the spurs need a real pass first pg who don’t take away from wemby but really would unlock wemby and Ben cause the spurs need a playmaker who can distribute the ball and not jack up dumb shots and we all no Ben won’t take bad shots cause he won’t shot
and if Ben plays with Wemby he can't get blocked by wemby, one less reason to stop him driving :P
Based on this assessment alone you gained a subscriber. Nice work! Lakers4Life
3:08 my 10 year old son thinks Chris Paul still plays for the Suns 😂
I was telling a Detroit or Toronto fan about this last month when Detroit was trying to get multiple firsts for Bojan. Don’t hold on to players too long when you don’t see them as part of your future. Also Cleveland needs to move on from Spida if he doesn’t extend this summer. It’s stupid to play chicken with him in 2025 offseason.
My friends who are Lakers and Warriors faithfuls have been clowning me for the past 8 years since KD left. It's our time now #ThunderUp
I'm very jealous of you guys. I'm a Clippers fan, and watching Shai as the center piece of a young team that will be good for a minimum of 10 years was what I wanted. My FO didn't have the patience for that.
100%! Mikal isn’t worth 5 1st round picks right now. It’s an amazing offer and they should have taken it. If they were throwing Jalen Green in there too it’s a huge no brainer. As a nets fan I’m so upset about this. They should have done the DFS trade too. They are nuts. I know people love Mikal too. I think that’s part of it but don’t let it blind you.
As a nets fan u are right about everything. I think Sean mark idea is to go star hunting when Ben contract is up. Which is dumb because it will be the last year of mikal contract n he gone be 30. Marks is banking mikal friendships will bring a star. So essentially marks is praying a superstar comes and mikal signs an extension his final year of his contract to make it make sense for not trading mikal.
Side notes I believe they are going to resign Ben not a bad idea depending on the contract
If it were up to me nets would have traded everyone over 25 n started a hard reset but hey I’m just a fan
As an NBA fan you are absolutely correct.
man that lakers jersey itrs beautiful mike.
Nets could've had OKC type haul of picks. If they traded bridges for 5 picks then Finney Smith for 2 first that's 7 picks and you would've had Green to further develop.
The Brooklyn Nets have a master plan: trading for Donovan Mitchell and signing a max FA in 2025 when Ben Simmons is off the books. It's silly, but that's gotta be their strategy.
They could get 🕷 this summer but will need to trade Bridges, Cam Thomas and picks
Let me tell you this as a Knicks fan - what the Nets were building prior to Kyrie and KD was scary! They were essentially making themselves a Miami Heat sort of team regarding continuity and culture…then just like the KG and Pierce trade they had lofty visions of” taking over NYC” and being a contender overnight. Just like KD and Pierce this quick fix solution was completely foolish (and scouts honor I called both moves dumb and celebrated as a Knicks fan!)
They can compete just need another big and a wing
FUNNY THING IS BROOKLYN WAS REALLY A SUPER TEAM BUT RAN INTO THE CELTICS... THE SIXERS WAS A SUPER TEAM AS WELL BUT RAN INTO THE CELTICS. COMMON DENOMINATOR: JAMES HARDEN AND BEN SIMMONS 😂
It seems like they giving the roster a chance before they gut it next season most likely
Nets have been "rebuilding " since they joined the NBA
Ben ain't no starter 👍😂👍😂👍👍👍👍
The issue is Sean Marks and not having their picks this this year. Marks wants to undo/fix what was done with James, KD, and KY and hopes to land a star in FA. The reason Marks was able to turn around Billy kings mistakes was b/c he knew it was going to take time to fix some else mistakes vs fixing his own. There won't be that long of a leash with the ownership. Marks has been there for 8 years already there is no way he would be able to sell having to go through another 5 year rebuild to ownership and still keep his job.
You would think after being fleeced by Danny Ainge, we would never, ever, trade multiple picks for another player. Our current downfall, did not start with the Harden trade but in signing De Andre Joedan for ten million. He should never received starter minutes when we had Jarrett Allen. Michal Bridges isnt just a good player but an A+ locker room guy. If Houston Rockets wants MB, i want Cavis Lavert, Jarrett Allen and our picks back.
Nets gotta be the most unluckiest franchise ever
Lost out on Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, traded away future all-star Jarrett Allen and 6th man of the year candidate Caris Levert(both on the hottest team in NBA rn Cavs) for washed James harden, gave KD and Kyrie a bag of money for nothing but drama, now stuck with bust ass Ben Simmons
I think you're right in saying they're delusional about their standing in the league rn. This is not that same scrappy Nets team that made the 6th seed under Atkinson. They may have more talented pieces overall but the East is also better and the pieces clearly aren't enough.
Better they sell high now, but since they haven't, it's kinda clear that they somehow think they have a chance of competing with the pieces they have. Bizarre thinking. Also not every trade has to be a fleece. I think some teams only want to do extremely lopsided deals and otherwise won't entertain anything else and it's sad to see them wait and hold onto assets for too long.
To be fair, that Nets team with DWill, Joe Johnson, Pierce and Garnett were unstoppable in 2k
Kirilenko, young Brook Lopez...
The Nets should've just traded Bridges and Johnson and rebuild around Thomas and Claxton.
For anyone that lives in the nj/ny area we all know how Barclays really is. There is no fanbase and no true presence for that team. This team being in Brooklyn was a cash grab period. They aren’t making right moves because their front office doesn’t care about that. They care about making money and having stars come on other teams and making sure they play there and not sit out to play at MSG. That’s why teams don’t do weekends in NYC any more like they did last year. May never see it again tbh.
They would have got most back if they had traded them at the deadline. They must be sure that they can get more in the offseason
Man that Harden trade was so dumb not just the picks but those players would have been so good with Kyrie and KD. The GM needed some balls there to say nah not doing that.
No way they turned down 2 1sts for Finney-Smith, that would be so dumb I can't believe that rumor
As a nets fan, our GM totally sucks, we're clearly not contending this year. Why not take those picks back from houston along with Jalen Green and build the team around him claxton and Cam Thomas
Let's go Knicks.
In 2 years the Nets can unload Ben’s enormous contract and go star hunting. They are one player away from being a threat to be in the Eastern Conference finals.
Why would the Nets trade Bridges, who is a borderline All-Star entering his prime who plays both ends of the court for picks? How often do picks turn into stars?
I appreciate your passion, but folks like you have to understand that the Nets do not exist to make other teams better.
Maybe they want to extend Bridges so they have locked in for a long time so they can get better trade package in the future
As a nets fan we are going back to the to the dark ages before DLO but after the Joe Johnson trade😐
As a Rockets fan, I'm glad the Nets turned down that offer. The Rockets need to keep those draft picks. Brooklyn falling apart was the best case scenario. Bridges is a very good player, but the Rockets already have a number of guys at the wing position that do the same thing...they're just raw. It kinda reminds me of when we got Trevor Ariza, and tried to make him "the guy"....he just wasn't a #1 option. If the Rockets trade those picks, it needs to be for a young superstar....and I don't see one ( to my liking) that will be available anytime soon.
The only real asset out of the Durant to Suns trade was Bridges and picks. Cam Johnson was horrible for the Suns, Crowder wasnt even playing for the Suns. But Bridges is a VERY good player and I wish they were able to send Ayton in that trade inside of Bridges. Starting 5 of Booker, Beal, Bridges, Durant and some low quality center. Nice!
Since words losing all meaning . Ben Simmons on the HOF. 💯
Tatum and Brown have no rings. They are not dynasty
Brooklyn have the worst owner and general manager in the NBA smh 🤦🏿♂️ they value Ben Simmons over kyrie and kD which is crazy
The Nets are simply trying a four dimensional chess play where they are going to tank when they don’t own their picks, and then try and trade for the players other teams pick with their picks on the cheap. You just don’t understand.
Maaaan, Ben is not even trying on that lat pulldown, let alone on the court...
I don't know what the hell they're doing either😮
Their greatest mistake was breaking up that fun DLO team for kd and Kyrie. It seems pheonix didn’t learn from them. And Kd isn’t close to top 10 all time.
I’m a Nets fan thanks to KD and Kyrie but not sure what direction the team is heading in now.
