- In a gay conversion center, a young girl risks everything to save her new friend.
This film was made in August 2018 in Prodigy Camp, it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life and I am so proud of what everyone was able to accomplish there. I also had the opportunity of working with Ella Fields and Chappell Roan, who were both amazing actresses!
Please comment and questions/critiques, this film was a sort of experiment with making something that is visually and not dialogue driven and I'd like to know what works and doesn't. This was my second short film I've directed and written and I can't wait to make more!

Caley Brooke, thank you for making and sharing this film. I read a number of comments before actually viewing your work. It is heartwarming to know there are so many of your generation who have the courage, understanding and conviction, to live and love regardless of obstacles. Centuries of lives lost, families and friendships shattered, torture and hate towards Lesbians and Gays...and everyone else under the "🌈" , to openly express ourselves. Today is Internatioǹal Women's Day. Just as women all over the 🌎 struggled -and are still struggling -so too do we. Films such as yours Caley, will do much to create greater understanding and compassion. Best wishes on your endeavors!!!😊

I get the theme of this short... it would be nice to see happy lesbians. I'm very happy, So I know we exist... there are alot of these depressing shorts out there and would be nice to see a romantic, funny film. They must be harder to make since there are only a few worth watching

Packs a punch. Very much a 'less is more' short film. Minimal dialogue, yet not too hard to follow the message. Can't help wondering if it would work without the anti-homosexuality sign, I think it would. Amazing that it builds as well as it does in a few minutes. Perhaps you need to research your audience reaction a bit more; don't be afraid to make them work a little in coming up with the answers. You don't have to give it on a plate... Well done x

Good filming, casting, scenes, mood, and more, but a bit unclear what is happening at the end, and maybe the film should'v been a bit longer? As your second film this is really good though, and I'm sure you can get far if you continue to do more and find the right people to give you professional constructive critique as you obviously have an eye for this craft. It is not easy to make visual and not dialogue driven stories, and not many people are doing this so I think you should continue experimenting with that. When you need a break from this I suggest you do the total opposite, film people who are reading or make interviews, real or fake. If you somehow later in life, after doing all the right things find your self not becoming as successful as you wanted, remember that chance and luck also plays a big part in everything. Good luck.
