There's something truly terrifying and amazing from experiencing it first hand that can't be replicated through video. This has to be by far the best dark ride, not only Disney, but in general. It captures the true nature of the definition of a Dark Ride.
This ride and its adjacent land deserve so much better. The story is actually awesome.
Every single time there’s a kid crying
Ah yes Dinosaurs one of the most underrated Disney movies with one of the most powerful CGI animations and that was just the beginning of the new millennium. It's nice to see wdw keeping the ride around
The ride is from before the movie, but it was adapted to the movie when it came out.
Hopefully it stays open. I’ve heard that Disney is considering replacing Dinoland USA with an area themed around Moana or Zootopia.

As a kid, I was terrified of the dinosaur animatronic 🤣
One of my favorites at AK. And so glad there is still attraction specific and not just generic Disney merch in the gift shop. Fantastic watch 4K.
It’s my personal favorite at AK for sure! I know the ride is really starting to show its age, but I just love it more and more with each passing year. The ride specific merch really is awesome! I gotta buy myself some in the event the ride does close once Dinoland gets destroyed. Thank you as always Andrew!

Its about damn time they do, we need more Indiana Jones in the parks and this is a step in the right direction. supposedly imagineers and Bob Iger were spotted walking around Dino Land pointing stuff out so it seems like it may be getting green lit soon.

They are eliminating something exclusive, and the film, while not the best was far from the worst.
I don't think it should be scrubbed from existence.

Cheesy ride but I still like it! And I've always liked the movie Dinosaur too. The clip after the ride of the Iguanodon at the Institute always cracks me up! Thank you!
Haha yes, this ride is a classic for me and is actually my favorite at AK! The post ride video on the TVs is awesome and I feel like many don’t even notice it! This ride will be missed if they do indeed close it eventually, but I hope somehow it gets spared! Thanks as always 😃
Wow, 4K! You are almost as tall as the Carnotaurus in the entry hall!! It is such a shame that they never “installed” the planned Pepper’s Ghost effect at the end of the ride…would have been fun seeing Aladar hanging off the back of the Time-Rover before seeing him on the video feeds throught he exit hall!!
I was very concerned riding last week for a couple of smaller kids riding (large family in the Time-Rover I was in), that it would be too scary…but they loved it!!
Haha yes I am pretty close in height to the Carnotaurus😂 but that effect would have been so cool for the ride! I’m glad those kids on your ride ended up loving it! This ride can definitely be scary for younger children, and I’ve actually seen some teens/adults get scared of it too! Those animatronics can look so real when they are actually working properly lol. This is my all-time favorite ride at animal kingdom. I’m just worried about the future of this road, if they start tearing down, Dinoland, what will happen going forward?
We just heard that Dinoland U.S.A. is going to be replaced by Moanna land and our number one favorite DINOSAUR ride is also gonna be replaced by Zootopia ride that we have no idea what it's gonna be. I mean, that makes me really upset and people like Disney fannies should've remembered that the dinosaurs are always part of the animal kingdom, like I do remember.
I agree Craig, this is also my favorite ride at AK and am also super scared that it’ll change once they destroy Dinoland. I’m all for Dinoland changing, but this ride is just too good to change/destroy in my opinion. They really should just keep this ride and leave it as the only Dinosaur representation in the park

I’m scared with what plans they have in store for AK with Zootopia and Moana. Isn’t there some way we can show them not to take this ride away?
I mean, I get Dinoland is sorta an eye sore, but this ride is the best out of all the park and it’s been here since the very beginning and lives up to the animal kingdom with adventures and variety of creatures. It wouldn’t be the same without it

I did this ride solo during its extended hours and it was TERRIFYING! I thought a raptor was going to jump out behind me.

🦖It's been a minute. Funny how some pre show films date some rides merely because we know the actors ages today. The low lights look great filming during the ride & it seemed as though all the animatronics were working (were they??). With Indy down to supposedly fix many of its ills, maybe just redoing the preshow would be a nice refresher that wouldn't cost much. Bet you were happy to film this, thx💜
It has been awhile since I last filmed this(September I think) . This ride is really starting to show its age, but I’m completely ok with it haha. From what I saw, the animatronics were working! They didn’t seem to be in perfect shape but them just moving is good for me lol. I feel like there’s a really solid chance the ride will change eventually, but I hope it’s not any time soon. I’d be ok with just a Preshow refresh, but I’m sure Disney’s plan would be to completely retheme the whole ride but we’ll see. I’m sure the ride is safe for now for at least a couple of years. Thanks 4K!!! I was on Dinosaur yesterday afternoon. I had to let my body move with the car or my ear mics would have fell out. Still doing good this week. I’m currently recording the full Rock N Music ambient loop outside. Was on the ride and got that recorded. I recorded the Harmonious show and the post music kept going on and on. I asked a cast member how long it is and he said he didn’t know but thinks it keeps playing until all the guests leave. I stayed until 10:45 and it was still playing. Have a great week!! I’m here tomorrow yet and flying out on Wed.😊
Oh that’s so cool! That was a really good idea, cause those shakes and bumps on Dinosaur are a real pain for recording! And I didn’t know the Harmonious post music plays for that long! I remember on its opening night I stayed for like 10 minutes after and left cause the music wouldn’t stop lol but I didn’t think it would last over an hour! Hope the rest of your trip is a great, and safe travels back home! Thank you as always Steve😃

It’s ironic. In real life, had Dr Seeker gone to the Early Cretaceous like Dr Marsh intended, then he would’ve gotten his Iguanodon. The dinosaur in question is believed to have gone extinct millions of years before the Late Cretaceous Period.
This ride is a lot of fun but my longest memory is of how rattled my bones were afterwards
Great video Adventure! You know this reminds me of the attack scene from Strange World (newest Disney Move) that those flying creatures were attacking. Just like the flying dinos in both the attraction and Jurassic Park/World!! 🦖

I can't believe how much they toned this ride down since I was a kid. It's like most of the sound effects are deactivated now.
It looks like they've slowed the ride down a little so you can actually take in what's going on.

Which ride is better this or Jurassic Park River Adventure at Islands Of Adventure?
The Jurassic river adventure for sure, this one is quite jerky and painful to ride. The animatronics in the Jurassic park ride are way better as well.
@@jinniejinchimm Dinosaur is far from painful so thats an issue with you, not the ride itself.

when did those lights on the backs of the Time Rovers get added? I rode earlier this year for the first time since 2012 and it didn't have those back then, I'm curious when they were added

i am seriously surprised that this ride is still around considering that Disney dubbed the movie that the ride is modeled after as a flop
The title of the video made me think back to the ride at Epcot. I think it was called Universe of Energy?
Yep that’s it! That ride permanently closed in 2017. Many thought the ride was way too long and boring, but I genuinely enjoyed it
My 4 year old enjoyed this. We rode it 5 times.

I have to admit, after riding this in November, I thought it needs to be put out of its misery. I think I saw at least 4 dinos not working, effects weren’t that great…time to start over with a new ride as they’re obviously not going to put any more money into this one. (Kind of like Splash Mountain the last year of its existence)

Now I am hearing they are getting rid of this attraction for Indiana jones this gets me mad because I grew up with this attraction.
Its really too bad they dont tell those poor children the truth about dinosaurs and how they died in the beginning of the ride. It wasn't an asteriod but a global flood. Job 40:15-24. 15 “Look at Behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. 16 What strength it has in its loins, what power in the muscles of its belly! 17 Its tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of its thighs are close-knit. YWH
