Let's also not forget that Lostbelt 5 revealed that Achilles wasn't even at full power in Apocrypha; he has a whole divine construct armor he wasn't summoned with.

Bruh what?? In lostbelt 5 he doesn't have his shield , AND ENTIRE REALITY marble CONTAINING AND ENTIRE WORLD capable of "almost" tanking karnas NP, and he was without that in lb5 , imo Achilles was more stronger in apocrypha than lb5

Fun fact: Achilles and Sieg are the only characters who have killed two servants in apoc (Chiron & Atalanta double down but still a kill) for Achilles (Karna & shiro ) for sieg. Everyone else doubled down, killed them self’s or was the one that got killed
What about mordred? Didn’t she kill Fran and Semiramis? Or am I misremembering? Even if Fran kamikazed against Mordred I think that still counts as a kill because she survived, and otherwise had completely overpowered her.

They had karna, semiramas and mordred who in comparison is the weakest of those previously mentioned. 3 high ranking demigods and high level half homunculus. Black had chiron, sigfried and Fran. Only one of which possess divinity. And its to a lower degree than the others. Plot armor out the wazoo. I'm not mentioning sig or astfo there way to weak

Unbalanced yes for the teams, I guess they thought having black faction with the home field advantage and vlad with his boost not to mention siegfried but.... ya with all of red factions demi humans it would of been a slaughter. If shiro didn't take the command spells from the masters of red, would they still have been able to use Karna and the others effectively? Since he uses a shit ton of mana for each attack right?
Makes sense that the scaling is uneven. Red faction had all the resources of the association to seek out the perfect relics to guarantee the summons went off perfectly. Meanwhile, Black was much more restricted in their ability to procur legendary relics. The only exception was Lancer, which I've always assumed was acquired before the family cut ties with the association, when it was easier to get them.
But aside them that, and honestly probably Saber's as well, the black team just didn't have the resources to contend with Red. Literally, Rider, Lancer, or debatably Assassin (in Hanging Gardens) could solo the entire black team and there would be nothing they could do about it.
the grail and the creators legit nerfed him HARD his dragon core was degraded preventing him from spamming balmung like he usually would, they changed his story denying him a battle continuatuon skill, didnt give him instinct, eye of the mind skill or a detection skill as he detected an invisible dwarf and overpowered him with a cloak that gives you the strength of 12 men or a dragon kind modification like sigurd its like they hurled a few skills at him and called it a day

It is a shame we have never seen a proper LANCER Achilles, as even with him being a rider, he is still a Lancer that puts many of the class to shame. Though it would be his slowest form from not having the chariot it would bring out every other skill he has that wasn't already pushed to it's limit like the Divinity requirement to hurt him without striking his heel.
Can't wait for Don't Sleep on Mordred.

I also just want to point out that Achilles was stated multiple times to be Karnas equal by both amakusa and Jeanne two rulers who can see just how powerful or skilled a servant is just by looking at them. If they ever did fight it wouldn't be a stomp in any way. It would have been the best fight in apocrypha hands down imo.
That's a vague statement tbh. They were probably considered equals in terms of normal cqc fighting skills

Karna has better attacks and more fire power, and Achilles has better adaptability , utility skills and in close combat if we go by the myth/poem/legend he's proabably top 3 (and can very well be top 1, 2 or 3) his reflexed on whole different level.

how about don't sleep on Rama!? most people don't know how nerfed he is. He force summons himself as a saber weakening himself just so he could get a chance to have his wife come in as an archer (the only class she can be i think).
His blessed martial artist, a skill that marks his mastery over all weapons lets him use his spear and bow that are almost as strong as noble phantasms even as a saber!
Rama has his personal armory of DIVINE weapons that he can summon, the profile hints that they are used to fight both gods and demons, it might mean that some have anti-divine/demonic traits too, one of these weapons....is actually Trisula! Shiva's trident (that's an EX noble phantasm btw) ! This guy can just use Shiva's trident on a whim and unlike Parvati that borrows it, he can actually use it effectively in a fight.
Now My boy Rama gets downplayed over and over again, essential since his arrival in fgo during the America chapter because he got bodied by Cu alter. Now here's the thing, if you read about how gae bolg actually works, ITS IMPOSSIBLE THAT HE SURVIVED IT, the spear should have not only destroying his heart, stopped the healing with the death curse but also spread spines all over his body...yet Rama, the absolute giga chad decided to live through sheer willpower despite not even having any sort of battle continuation as a skill!
Second time he appeared was in LB4 and got severely outshone by both Karna, Ashwatthama and Godjuna, he was pretty much a plot device.
We never even get to see him be cool, not only could this guy beat most servants in a straight fight , even those with special combat skills, but with his armory and martial arts skill he can do an archer's/lancer's job BETTER than most of them even as a saber! Now put all that behind his frankly monstrous stat-line and you've got a menace to any holy grail war! You're not beating this guy unless you're top of the top! And even then, unless you're gil its gonna be the toughest fight of your life! That being said even gil wouldn't be able to mess around too long with this guy. What? You think gil will have the luxury to take it easy on a guy firing thermal nuclear bombs, cruise missile arrows, death chakrams and masterfully swingin' at him with A+ agility on top of that? You dreamin', dreamin'.
Heracles? Rama can handily kill him 12 times no prob, not only does he have the skills (having mastered every martial art), the weapons but also the stats to go toe to toe with him berserker or archer form.
Achilles? Rama's divinity is A rank, coupled with his divine constructs and we can add rama to the list of people achilles will never want to fight again.
Knights of the round? Don't play with my boy! You know Rama's gonna send em back to king arthur in pieces and demanding recompense for his time wasted!
Theres a reason rama only shows up when the odds are really stacked against the master, because this dude is solid. He does not back down even when played by the gae bolg's curse, a level headed pragmatist that will exploit any weakness, be they physical or psycological, a true anchor to the team yet he stays charming and funny. If they sent this guy against anything other than an opponent vastly stronger than him, people would say he's too op.
Then we've got karna saying Rama might be stronger. based on that statement alone and the fact that karna is really not the type to overhype stuff, lie or have a biaised point of view, i can only come to the conclusion that there's something in rama we've not seen yet, maybe his archer version is monstrous!

Achilles has quite a rocky history with archers huh? Even so, only one has ever actually beaten him, and that was with the help of a freaking deity.
Would love a don't SLEEP on MEDEA, because she gets shafted in Stay/Night due to the ridiculous servants in that war so people think she's weak, but she's really strong
Achilles is like "the guy" because of whom the whole calling servants by their class name shtick was invented, like you saw Artoria's sword oh no anyway, you get to know Achilles' name and suddenly you might not even die.

lemme just remind everyone that this mans took an entire army during the trojan war and if we apply fate into that, the trojan war happened during the age of gods, which means that said army probably had access to age of gods - level magecraft and armaments so him single handedly wrecking said army is made even more ridiculous

Achilles biggest downside is how willing he is to fight evenly if a fight isn't fun he will make it fun for himself. Much like Gilgamesh, Achilles weakness isn't his own limit it's how personality

What makes Archer so powerful isn't necessarily OPness, but moreso his experience and smarts. He's powerful but not the best of the best imo

I still can't believe how nerfed he always is either by plot or he nerf himself (because his personality is supposed to be like that) in apocrypha he doesn't use his chariot and his shield vs frank and sieg, vs Chiron he never uses his shield, not to mention he wasn't neither summoned with his divine armor and he's never summoned as Lancer either (do u even imagine what kind of powerfull np he'd have with a spear) which should be his best class, in LB5 man to me they treated him like shite almost the whole history, always way too humble, and understimating himself plus when we find him he doesn't have any divinity anymore, he does have his divine armor but guess what he gives it away so it can be reforged into an arrow for Orion , he wasn't summoned with his shield in this one which is another nerf.
Ah and let's not forget in every story he is involved they always bring that guy who's pretty much his counter by now (Chiron) who pretty much knows everything about Achilles and how to fight him, when he fights Atalanta we see pretty much how he owns her even without his divinity and inmortality.
Man in LB5 I wish Achilles had been the one who takes out Odysseus before dying to Chiron, because what they did to my man Odysseus and the Charlotte thing was just awful and having Achilles killing Odysseus since they were comrades in arms , almost friends (and probably Odysseus the only king Achilles respected) would have been more poetic.
A Hero of the Caliber of Achilles, that man who's Alexander the great's hero was there just to hold Chiron back and to give Orion his armor...
Hope some day we get to see Achilles at full power, with his divinity intact, divine armor, shield , spear and of course summoned as a Lancer displaying what he is capable of at his full extent.

Before they even started Masters would fight over catalysts for Heracles. Then he was "banned" and mfs started fighting over Achilles catalysts.
This did not happen even in Indian wars.

And he is unfairly strong even outside greece especially as NOT a Berserker so a fame boost from Greece would just make enemy Servants and Masters rage quit.

@Tsiah great video and I'm still of the opinion that Achilles could at least match Karna and is the only other servant there that had a shot at him. But I wanted to ask if Achilles used his pesudo reality marble on Karna and Karna being the hero of charity/honorable that he is do you think in character he'd accept? And if he does would the noble phantasm negate the outside help of Karnas armor or would he just take it off willingly? Sorry for the long questions
He would most definitely accept karna is honourable to a fault and wishes for an honourable battle hed probably jump at the offer and I do believe it would nullify his armors ability like it would his own

So I have Fate/GO and I originally (and still do) wanted Ozymandias because his attack is just plain cool, and I got Achilles on both of Ozy’s banners. I was so upset I just left it be and not play it again. I returned back about several months ago and it was after I took a servant quiz and got Achilles as a good match for me (which is weird cause I’m the polar opposite of him oh well) and so I upgraded his Nobel phantasm as well as his skills and as of now, he has the biggest DMG rn next to Scáthach.
So yeah. Even if I didn’t get what I wanted, Achilles was around the corner which makes me happy now. Idk what I would do without this Rider.
If the Holy Grail went as planned and there were no shenanigans, Red team would have demolished Black team. It would have been cool to watch but Red team just has too many OP servants. Karna alone would be enough, but with Achilles and Semi-ramis? They could fight an army of servants with the only trouble being Chirion and maybe Siegfried due to his skin.
