The animator was relating the speed of Samus's speed booster to Sonic's average speed.

@Warrenoh if you don't know samus is a woman you've been living under a rock for the past 25 years, feeding on trail-mix made from squirel bits and pebbles for flavor.
for a metroid game there should be a fight between zs samus and ridley. the ending: ridley grabs her, starts licking her, then throws her into his mouth, closes his jaws so samus' arms and legs are shown wiggling outside of the mouth, savors her and, finally, swallows her whole, head-first, and alive.
The music playing during the fight was bad ass

@Pennaz91 it is, same with kraid too. Kraids area is called "Kraid", while Ridleys area is called "Ridley"

It's funny how with limited palettes back in NES days, all the big characters were made. Then when the time came for 3D they stayed the same: Link - Green, Mario - orange/red Samus - orange/red, etc.
