Greetings from a small village of Iran, my favorite truck is Volvo F12 because i have driven thousands kilometers with this truck especially working with its transmission is very easy and nice

I had one as an owner driver, F12 400 EDC. Long wheel base 4x2 with air suspension, side deflectors, long range tanks, eminox stack, polished Alcoas, sun visor ect. I used it pulling very overweight tilts from Malaga / Calais return loaded with 1t bulk bags of polished aggregate. One of the best trucks I ever had. The F16 700 which replaced it would pull 44t++ on the AP/ARgradients at 100kph in top gear, no down changes. That truck was sublime..

Back in the day, this Volvo would cross europe from east to west with shit load of freight and wouldn't bother. 40 50 tons sometimes. Who would check?? And today, if the truck doesn't have 770 hp to pull a frigo trailer you are considered weak.

My heart's bleeding
F12 is the best reliable truck.
Is this truck 6x4? Also how long did F12s last in European highways?
4x2. These older volvo's were around till the late 90's. And as soon a the first fh's came, soon the 3rd generation f series disappeared.
@@loenhorst80 I see.
how were 6x4s popular though within Europe? Were normal loads (like food etc.) driven by 6x4s?
@@driver76fan 6x4 were only for heavy loads. All the others 6x2 and 4x2. 6x4 were always the most wanted for export
@@loenhorst80 Also does it have a retarder? Where is it located?
Thank you!
@@driver76fan it doesn't have a retarder. It's in the Netherlands. We use it for fun
