    Based on my notes:
    bi blade 5x5 3s 300g 6.1A
    tri blade 3x3x5 3s 172g 6.8A
    bi blade 5x5 2s 267g 7.3A
    bi blade 5x4 2s 267g 8.7A
    tri blade 5x45 2s 299g 8.1A Dalprop 5045
    tri blade 5x5 2s 299g 9.0A Hulk 5050
So I guess the bi blade 5x5 on 3s is the most efficient? If amp pull is your reference.

Looks like he pulled 400g+ on 3s 5x5 in this video. But to my experience and others 3s on 5x5 will toast your motor quickly whatever you do.

@@goku445 I'm not sure how you burnt yours, last 3 days, first time flew mine everything went well. 2nd time yesterday managed to flew it around 10km in 12mins still everything is fine. Li-ion 3s with 5050 prop.

@@dustypropss Might be a bad motor but I doubt it given the feedback I've read. I was extra careful with it but it still got burned. It pulled 12.5A on a 3s at launch. I heard a weird noise on my 4th flight at launch and it was dead on the 6th flight, I could save the plane gliding it home. I really think the 5x5 is too much on 3s for this tiny motor.

@@goku445 Probably bad motor. Did my 15th flight today. Max 10.5A pulled during autolaunch. Managed to get to 6km max distance from home. No issue so far. Also check for motor temp after landing and it was not hot at all.

@@dustypropss Might be but I ordered a slightly bigger one emax 1606 just to be safe.

My motor burnt on 3s 5x5 not even using full throttle at launch and using below 50% the rest of the flight and I was extra careful knowing others have had the same experience...

I've got a 5x3 prop (first time trying them) and I'm not getting anywhere close to this thrust on 2s with a 20amp esc. I max out at around 188g on 2s, and I think 240 on 3s.
As a brief test I put a 6x4 that I run regularly on a bigger motor (1806 2250kv) that works well on 2s, and I'm maxing out around 220g on 2s with this motor. I'm afraid to run a 6" prop with this motor as I know it's too big. I know 5x3 isn't the same as 5x5 or 5x4, but I expected just a little bit better. It will hardly keep a 250g plane in the air on 2s currently. These props don't seem ok for this application, but the 6x4 didn't do a lot better in my test.
    Anyone have tips?

So I guess 5" tri blades are fine to run on 2S?

I am assuming that you are using the iMax b6 as the power source. I do not know how to set up this mode of the iMax device. I ask you to explain this.

Depends what you need. 2s with 2 blades 5x5 most efficient (marginal over 3s w/2*5x5).
