- Ingredients:
Ground Beef
1 Yellow Onion
1 Green Bell Pepper
1 & 1/2 tbsp white sugar
Large Tortillas
Pizza Sauce
Mozzarella Cheese
Seasonings Used:
Taco seasoning
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Black pepper
Rosemary
Italian seasoning
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
1 bell pepper
1 small onion
1 15oz can of pizza sauce
Instructions:
1.Start by partially cooking ground beef. Rinse & drain beef with cold water then return to heat
2.Add chopped veggies to beef, season and cover with a lid. Allow veggies to soften.
3.Once veggies are soft, add pizza sauce. Adjust seasoning if needed & allow to simmer for approx. 10 mins
4.Place large tortillas on a flat surface, place a small amount of meat sauce in center of tortilla, add mozzarella cheese. Secure edges with a flour+water mixture and fold into a tight, neat square.
7.Deep fry pizza puffs until crispy & golden brown
8.Serve with Chicago mild sauce or your fav sauce, with fries & enjoy!
FYI: Pizza Puffs are made with Tortilla Dough. Check the ingredients of any puff you get. This is an easier way for those who wanna give em a try 😁
You forgot the ground fennel seeds. That’s what gives it that Chicago kick!!
