So Microsoft wants their notebook to be like a Macbook. And yes - don’t get me wrong this thing is probably powerful as fuck. But compare them side by side today and in 5 years with their stats. What is really important now is making everything compatible and improving on these year on year. Apple is the benchmark for a reason, they hardly ever stagnate and usually improve on their previous processors.

But there is a lot of Intel and AMD laptops a lot faster than MacBooks, the actual bargain is the battery and energy efficiency, that only MacBooks had until now. Not faster than the latest M series chipset, but this is the first generation of these high performance laptop ARM Snapdragon processors, hopefully will improve, and maybe get a lot better than M series, as other brands get processors like these and increase the competition

Increasing the single-core performance takes the most R&D and Apple is miles ahead in that, especially with the M4. Apple achieved this despite the clock speed remaining the same, by changing the architecture of the CPU. This is something that Android and Windows-side chipmakers, who are often perceived as subpar, would never do because they don't tend to make any architectural changes at all, especially Intel. These manufacturers only know how to add more cores and increase clock speed.
x86 CPUs change architecture all of the time. Besides, Apple's chips have roughly the same amount of cores. What are you even on about? And no, M chips are not miles ahead. They're a little behind, actually. The only thing they really have going for them is energy efficiency, which is substantial enough to matter.

Just bought the SP11 & Pro Flex Keyboard. However, I can't use the keyboard when it's detached. There isn't a keyboard option on the Bluetooth menu. What a shame because overall it's a good device.
