Something you may not be aware of with the measured fill feature since you made no mention of it is that if you press the measured fill button it gives you the option to choose how many oz of water you want to put in the cup and then it fills it automatically to however many oz that you selected. You would have to change the setting to oz instead of cups though. You acn select any amount of oz too. Also on the night light, hitting the the button a second time lights up the pads only and the third time shuts off the dispenser lights entirely. We've had ours for about 5 or 6 years without a single issue and still love it.

I had a different model ordered that had the water dispenser inside and ice maker in freezer, but delivery got delayed again and would have been ordered for almost 5 months. This model was the top seller at Home Depot with over 10K reviews and got it delivered in four days. Really like it and it is very quiet, ice maker works great and no moisture on gasket freezer door like some had complained. Only negative is the loss of storage inside the left door due to ice maker. Hope it holds up as well as the Kenmore Elite.
I hope you enjoy it. Our icemaker just quit working but we had the fridge for awhile and its something we don't really use. We use to use our ice machine a lot with our old refrigerator so when it quit working we felt that we had exceeded the normal lifespan of that ice maker. Using this one far less often, I am shocked. But ask me if we are still happy.... answers yes! We love everything else. Our old refrigerator was a french door and that ice maker took up way to much space considering how small the freezer was.

I purchased the 5 year extended warranty from Home Depot, but still don't want to deal with problems. Only replaced 3 ice makers on our 21 year old Kenmore Elite, but is was in freezer. I don't know if i missed it but where was the icebucket inside. Having teen athletes in the family sometimes i need to dump a bunch of ice in bucket for aches pains. Our current fridge has the ice deposited in a container on door and you just lift it out to dump as needed. thanks
Using the ice dispenser, on the outside of this fridge, is the easiest way for me. To get to the ice inside I have to pull the fridge out away from the wall beside it to have more room to pull out the ice box. This problem may just be how I have the refrigerator positioned.
If you have a Kenmore Elite like our old refrigerator. We just replaced it with the Whirlpool 24.5 cu ft fridge the sliding shelf from our Kenmore fits perfect in the Whirlpool fridge.

I've seen some reviews saying this model was noisy. Currently have a Kenmore Elite with ice maker in freezer, so mainly concerned about losing refrigerator space for small items on left door side. Noticed you already had dent in drawer above freezer. Also wondered about cleaning the bottom of freezer since the wire basket does not slip out of way.
Ours isn't noisy. There is a loss of space inside the left door. We still have lots of space in other areas such as the middle drawer. We love our fridge ❤
I have a 12 year old Whirlpool side by side, and I like the brand, but the one I am interested in is the French door with the plain front with water from a spout inside and ice in a basket in the freezer. I am concerned about the potential for ice maker malfunctioning when the compartment is in the refrigerator.
Our ice maker is in the refrigerator on the upper left side. We had a side by side Maytag before and it had less space than this one. The freezer would not hold pizzas well and the fridge was narrow and long. I love having the third drawer option. I wish we had this when our kids were little. It saves energy by keeping the main fridge cold to keep snacks etc in the drawer. Do more research and read many reviews before you buy any fridge or major purchase. That's my best advice. I ordered the model you mentioned from Home Depot and the delivery was rescheduled twice and would have been 5 months to get a white model, so gave up and ordered different model that delivered in four days.
I liked mine also it has a lot of room and the lights are bright but mine has failed five times now and the repairs have exceeded the price of a new one. No mechanical issues but the computer has failed again. Going to try a Bosch this time.😢
I thought about a Bosch until I found out the model was made in China. Even though it's designed by a reputable company, was afraid they would take short cuts and not be reliable. Believe Whirlpool has the best rating for parts availability. Good luck on whatever you choose.
No. I was afraid we would have that problem too, when we purchased it. It doesn't swing back like the right side does but it opens straight out even with the wall and we have no problem with it. I think having the french doors helps keep food and milk etc. fresher because the entire contents aren't exposed every time we open it. Our fridge also has the single drawer which makes it even more energy efficient and practical.
I did just get this last week and the one issue I had was the ice bin. Not the icemaker, but to pull out the bin. It tends to stick despite pushing in the button.

I called Whirlpool and they couldn't find the part #. Do you have any idea what the part # is or where to find it? Thanks!
Please tell me your model number. Some Refrigerators didn't have it. My model did. Can you look your Refrigerator up online to see what the drawer looks like? Mine has 2 long sections that are removable and 2 short thinner pieces that are removable and can slide back and forth to customize the drawer. The pieces I have are built to attach to the actual refrigerator.

Hey Susan! Thanks for asking, great question. I need to do an updated video. The refrigerator and freezer are doing great, like brand new. The temperatures hold and I am pleased with that. My parts (drawers etc) are holding up except for one crack in the side of a shelf. That could have happened from over stuffing the shelf but it still works. The freezer holds a good amount. I recall when shopping for this refrigerator that some others had either a smaller freezer or a small fridge. This one is roomy with the perfect amounts for both the freezer and fridge. (We are looking for a good deep freezer though to save money and stock up on bulk sale items). The outside is still beautiful, the inside looks nice and everyone loves my fridge when they see it for the first time. ** I am having a problem with it though. My water maker still works and the alert to change the filter still works but my ice maker is out! Not a 'huge' problem as we don't use ice. I am not certain when it quit working since we don't use it. I loved the crushed ice feature when we first purchased it. Maybe it just needs a little maintenance IDK. But for the rest of of the whole fridge.... I still ❤ it.

That is very important to me since the reason I"m switching out my new beautiful Kenmore is because its not dispensing ice due to the slide in ice bin is too short. All they have to do is replace the ice bin with a new one that fits correctly, however they do not make that ice bin anymore. However, I found a you-tube link that explains how to diagnose your ice maker and it will correct itself. Seems like a very simple fix. I will attach the link to this reply. I just went into my kitchen to check for noise. It's a good sign that I had to go check for noise as it is fairly quite. I open the fridge and freezer to get it to run the fan and noticed that there is a difference . I hear something but it isn't noisy. It's almost non noticeable, but we also could have adapted to the fan sound. But when truly paying attention like I just did, the fan on this one isn't loud and it doesn't run nonstop. Hope this helps!
I would het the extended warranty on this as we had a few problems after a few months and with ours. They replaced the ice maker and its working now. I LOVE my fridge!! A friend of mine went to buy one about 6 months ago and Home Depot was having shipping issues. They tried to sell her other models and she said she would wait.

My light in my freezer is off how do I turn it on
